==Bio==
Melissa is majoring in Environmental Studies at Ohio University and primarily does research related to climate and environmental justice. The summer after her freshman year in Ohio University's Honors Tutorial College, she founded the Grey Green Alliance while working with Age-Friendly Columbus and Dr. Geoff Dabelko from the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs. The Grey Green Alliance seeks to discover synergies between efforts focused on building resilience to climate change and decreasing the vulnerability of older adults. Through this experience she has enjoyed working on many interdisciplinary teams and believes that complex, global problems can be solved most efficiently by collaborations like these.

==Achievements==
Udall Scholar (2020). Voinovich Undergraduate Research Scholar (2020). Member of Ohio University's Experiential Learning Student Advisory Board (2020). Founder of the Grey Green Alliance (2019).
