Educate the student body about I&E and to foster an innovative culture at the same time.
 
Tactic ( Listed as steps):
 
#Recruit volunteers at Paul College who are passionate about I&E
#Work along with the current pool of volunteers and try get more volunteers from different departments
#Spread the word via social media, posters, flyers, word of mouth, dinning hall advertisements, etc about programs like the i2Passport at the E-Center
#Create appreciation awards for volunteers in conjunction with Paul College, UNH Innovation and the E-Center
#Host team building activities
#Use this same group of volunteers to help out at related events

*Social media, posters, and flyers have been used to spread the word about I&E on campus.
*A new goal for the Fall 2017 cohort is to create a radio program through our campus station, WUNH, around the theme of I&E.
 
 
 
= Hosting the First Student-Run Hackathon at University of New Hampshire (UNH) =

Objective:
 
UNH’s First hackathon is an event to gather a large group of people from within the campus, neighbouring institutions and also the public. This event is an introduction to newcomers and also a creative/challenging outlet for techies.
 
Tactic ( Listed as steps):
 
*Always keep the Mentors in the loop about the level of progress.
 
#Rent a domain and formulate a Hackathon name
#Come up with a logo
#Set a date for event
#Reserve a venue
#Set up a group of people responsible for marketing
#Contact Major League Hacking
#Set up group managing participants and the website
#Aim for more than ~100 people
#Pick out workshops to conduct during event
#Contact Housing to provide boarding for participants if necessary
#Create a sponsorship package
#Email potential sponsors
#Email various departments about sponsoring event
#Work on catering for the event
#Work on providing transport to event
#Raise at least $5000 in funds

To create a biological science centered Makerspace facility open to students of all majors.

2 Deal with campus bureaucracy
 
3. Allocate a suitable location,
 
4. Contact donors and key people.

To encourage conversation about creating an innovative campus community through shared human experiences.
 
Action Items:
 
*apply for a tedx license
*pitch to and get approval from administration
*source speakers and determine topics
*establish a committees for marketing, videography, stage preparation, and general organization
*develop a pricing strategy
*compile a list of potential corporate sponsors and reach out to them
 
 
 
= Rapid Prototyping Cart =

To engage students in ideation and prototyping by providing easy access to materials.
 
Action Items:
 
*secure a cart
*obtain prototyping materials
*determine cart locations
*establish a budget for materials
*market to students
*validate product through proof of concept, then expand cart numbers
 
 
 
= UNH Student Interest Web =
 
Objective:
 
To provide an information hub for students to easily assess pertinent organizations, events, and activities happening on campus.
 
Action Items:
 
*develop an efficient means of categorizing interests
*collect information on the status of various innovation-based ventures
*find a student volunteer to assist with the development of the interactive program display
*purchase the technology to display the web
*determine physical locations for the displays around campus, as well as on the UNH website
