In addition to his time in the lab, Jonathan is also a patient advocate with Health Leads, a nationwide non-profit organization, working specifically at the South Chicago Family Health Center Office. As a patient advocate, he has connected over 100 English and Spanish-speaking low-income patients to basic resources that impact their health such as food, insurance, and utilities. As a student leader, Jonathan co-founded Health of the Mind, a student-run organization that seeks to raise mental health awareness on campus. In addition, Jonathan has also served as Publicity Chair of Phoenix Biology, the undergraduate biology interest group, and as a small group leader for Asian-American Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. After college, Jonathan will be working at A.T. Kearney, a leading, global management consulting firm and plans on attending either medical school or business school later on.
