He grew up in a town by the Mississippi south of the Twin Cities in Minnesota called Hastings, MN. David’s initial interest in Food Science was sparked by everyday chemistry and nutritional aspects in food. Being involved as a the Vice President of the Food Science and Safety Club along with working as a lab assistant for professors at NDSU has helped him develop the quickly growing major.
