The university has 5 academic divisions, focusing mainly on engineering, science and mathematics. Over the past year Florida Tech has begun to focus on Innovation and EntreprenuershipEntrepreneurship, bringing in faculty with an I&E background, as well as starting up a student business incubator last year.
