The [https://gbf.bloomberg.org/ Bloomberg Global Business Forum] is a conference in New York City that brings together many of the most significant world leaders and international CEOs to address some of the most critical questions facing the global economy. Some of the topics addressed in the forum are related to sustained job and economic growth, international trade and immigration policies, the climate change crisis, and reducing inequality while driving economic prosperity. The forum is held during UN General Assembly week, and participation is by invitation only.
= Purpose = Add text hereThis conference builds on the success of Bloomberg's 2014 and 2016 U.S.-Africa Business Forums, and expands the discussion to a global level with leadership from every continent. The purpose of the conference is to solve the most pressing challenges facing global leaders, which requires partnerships between government and business, as well as targeted investment in critical sectors and economies.
= Distinct Differences From Other Offerings =
Add text here. The Bloomberg Global Business Forum is unique from other offerings because it is a gathering of the world's most influential leaders rather than an organization dedicated to assisting students and other entrepreneurers.Although it does not offer direct oppourtunites for students to be involved, it provides videos and livestreams from past and current Forums that provide insight into entrepreneurial and innovative practices that can be useful to students interested in both business and global policy.
= Impact Achieved For Students and Campus =
Add text hereThe Bloomberg Global Business Forum provides students with many leaders to whom they can look up to in order to learn about leadership and innovation on a global scale. The Forum's videos and livestreams give students a chance to hear industry leaders discuss today's most important topics.By following the arguments made throughout the Bloomberg GBF, students will gain a greater look into the intersection of business and policy on a global scale. These resources, espically considering that they are from the most well known and powerful leaders of our age, are extremely helpful for budding innovators. The Forum is also a good place that students can aspire to be invited to speak at one day!
