Berkeley Kendrick is a University Innovation Fellow and an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Medicine Health and Society at Vanderbilt University. Her passion for sports most reflects her competitive nature, whereas her community service most reflects her compassionate nature. Vanderbilt University supports her curiosity and love for academic learning and real-world practicalities. The unique component of community service embraced by Vanderbilt aligns with her desire to positively impact any community where she lives, studies, or works. As a person who has always felt balanced as a right- and left-brained thinker, the optimistic process of design thinking reinforces how she can best approach solutions to public challenges through teamwork and an iterative process.  Specifically, she hopes to leverage both her education and experiences in the arena of public health to creatively convince large populations to change their lifestyle to more healthy approaches.
