Hey Guys,

Dominik Hofer.jpg

my name is Dominik Hofer (though my friends call me Nick) and I'm a student at the FH Salzburg studying Information Technology and System Management in the master program. My majors are Data Science and Robotics. I want to combine these two scientific fields because I believe that they promise many amazing changes for the good of humanity if used wisely.

I applied for the UIF programm because I believe that people should not be restricted by the imagination of people. Every scientific field can be combined with so many others that the pure amount of possibilities are endless. Therefore I believe in a system that allows students to chose their own path instead of showing them one.

If I don't spend my time studying or learning something new about my two chosen scientific fields, I like to read or do sports. Usually I end up reading books like "The Perks of Being a Wallflower", "The Road", or "The Social Animal". When it comes to sports I'm more the chill kind of person: jogging, yoga, climbing or hiking.

If you have any questions about my studies, Salzburg as a city or how German is for an native speaker, feel free to contact me (dom.hofer@live.de). Though it might take me some time to response (schedule more on the busy side of things).

Yours,

Dominik
