I’m An Nguyen, a junior double majoring in Economics and Computer Science at Union College (Schenectady, NY). I’m from Hanoi, Vietnam and United States is the first foreign country I have been to. I work as a research assistant for an Economics professor at Union College since my sophomore year. Besides my school work, I take part in some campus activities at Union as well as volunteer work. I have served as a Co-Chair of Breazzano House - one of the seven Minerva houses on campus - for two years. I am also a Vice President of the international students club on campus - World Around U - and the Treasurer of Asian Student Union. I joined Big Brothers Big Sister last spring and have been mentoring the most adorable 9-year old girl.
I love fashion design and drawing clothes is my most favorite way of relaxing (see my proudest design so far here). I am a big fan of Game of Thrones (both the book and movie series), Sherlock, Friends and all TV shows with good costumes. My favorite computer language is Python but I always enjoy learning different languages.
