Hey guys, I just looked at this during training because in the times of COVID it sounded so cute to give out free hugs again and hopefully one day soon we could actually be approved to do something like this on Mines' campus.

Unique Idea

I think this was a really clever idea, and I completely understand that some days a hug is all that students need. Not only are hugs an effective way to increase one's sense of comfort and trust, but they also establish a sense of community that colleges and universities can use to their benefit.

A simple but effective idea

We know the biology behind hugging, so we know hugging is one of the best ways of reducing stress. Then, why not apply this effective method on our campuses during the most stressful times, such as final exam weeks? As a person who strongly believes in positive energy, I really wanted to organize this event on my campus.

Love this idea!

I think it would be even better if the organizers give a small card with positive messages and affirmations after giving a hug to an individual! (ex: "Have a nice day!", "You can do it!")

what a kind and simple idea!

I love the idea to give free hugs to people who want to be hugged. I think is such a nice form of greeting and instantly makes you feel better if you are having a hard time. Also whhen meeting new people on campus this idea will instantly build a bond between the huggers :)
