Summary

Hello all,

My name is Jake Alihan Kapusansky and I am an agent of change. I spend my time cultivating relationships and developing science surrounding justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion, and I hope to work hard with each now of you to create authentic, innovative experiences for people across the world.

This past year at my university, I co-founded the Organization of Asian Leaders with my peers and collaborators, and what I found was a family and a community that I hold very close to my heart.

With this initiative, we lead Asian Pacific American Heritage Month across our campus, and as the President of my team, I lead and managed the vision of the 10+ events that we hosted on our campus.

This summer, I had the opportunity to work at Dell Technologies as a Services Sales Intern. Over the 12 weeks that I worked in our services organization, I was able to work with incredible leaders and professionals that pushed me to challenge myself, every single day.

While I delivered on my weekly projects specified to sales, I also took my subject matter expertise from justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion and built a process that is currently being implemented into our employee resource group intern '23 cohort strategy. The project is based on an Agile framework that was refined over time with my two leadership mentors, Laddie Suk, Global Digital Transformation and Industry Solutions Lead and Ro O'Brien Principle Program Manager, Certified Scrum Master. I am proud of what I created, and could not have done this work without the council of an incredible team of mentors and advisors.

To get personal, in my free time, I love talking with my best friends and family about philosophy, culture, and life. Most of the time, these conversations are had over good food.

As one of my core philosophies is to seek discomfort, inspired by Yes Theory. As a result of constantly pursuing discomfort, I have created space and resources for myself to travel with people that I love dearly. This year, I worked and explored in Austin, TX; Anchorage, AK, Minneapolis, MN; Toledo, OH; Chicago, IL; and most importantly, embarked on a yearly road trip that I take with my Grandpa, Pat Kapusansky from Florida to Michigan. We drive for a few days, stopping, talking, and listening to each other's stories.

For the future, I am currently working with my teams to travel more. My next grand adventures will be focused internationally.

Thank you for your time- I cannot wait to meet and collaborate with you all!

- J. Alihan
