The number of professors and faculty members fostering innovation and entrepreneurship has been growing in the last couple of years. This whole new spirit lead to the creation of Initium. This center has created different courses and workshops stimulating students and professors to develop new skills and attitudes with an innovation and entrepreneurship mindset. It is also a place for connection between students, alumni entrepreneurs, accelerators and other extracurricular entities.There are also other courses that stimulate innovation in their areas, such as Engineering Labs or Investment Projects for example.

<span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;"The students do not have the knowledge about institutions that support startups, no matter if they wanted to setup a startup or not. Currently students at our University are not aware of every opportunity there exists or what organizations could help them to develop or fund their projects.

We believe it is crucial to get I&E culture exposure from both ends, so we consider our third strategy should tackle this specific issue. In order to boost students’ confidence at their early stages of developing an idea or project, we aim at the possibility of hosting an instance where such institutions could interact face-to-face with students in a calm, informal ambience. This would be approached from the unconference format, in which conversations are fluid, and topics are specifically proposed by participants.

To achieve the task of creating the best environment, drinks and snacks could be served. The different incubators should designate one or more members to talk to students about their system, opportunities and successful stories (where representatives of startups could be invited to join in order to make the experience more personal and enjoyable). Several resources, like whiteboards, post-its, or a screen to share media would be offered to incubators in order to enhance the quality of their presentation.
