Rory is a student at the University of North Florida studying Sociology, Political Science: Public Administration & Public Policy, and Leadership. She has been working on the Student Advisory Board for the North Florida Green Chamber of Commerce since it begin Fall 2020. Rory is passionate about offsetting the damaging affects of climate change on the planet she loves, which is why she involves herself in extracurriculars that bring awareness to sociopolitical issues at her college campus. Rory is a big advocate for community and has established herself as the Minister of Events for the Honors Student Union Board where she facilitates team-building through in-person and virtual events. She has put a lot of dedication into serving her broader Jacksonville community through Honors by working with a team to put on culturally-assimilatory events for refugee children, as well as facilitate a class where first-year college students brainstorm ideas and execute plans to raise money to put on these events.

As a hard-worker, Rory has held several jobs since she begin her college career. She worked as the Assistant Director of the Student Involvement Center as it was getting its feet on the ground. She worked as a Student Reviewer for the Office of Administration and Finance, and served as a Nanny for a local sitting agency in St. Augustine for several months.

It is difficult today to find leaders who represent a majority of their constituents, but Rory aspires to implement projects and policies that intentionally benefit the most people in a given community. Her work with UIF is intended to be highly aspirational and will utilize the extensive networks available to create and execute a project that positively impacts the lives of students at the University of North Florida.

* Accepted into the Hicks Honors College at the University of North Florida
* Chosen to facilitate for the Honors first-year Colloquium Seminar on Immigration and Empathy
* Sitter of the month for College Nannies, Sitters + Tutors in St. Augustine, and sitter of the month nominee for the national franchise
