Rajnandini Waradi is a Spring 2018 University Innovation Fellow from India and a graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kakinada Institute of Engineering and Technology. She is currently an IT professional in the United States and is pursuing her Doctorate in Education, specializing in Computer Science. She also completed her Master’s in Information Technology Management from Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota.

An engineer by degree, IT professional by profession, entrepreneur by passion, and educator by purpose, Rajnandini is enthusiastic about leadership, technology, innovation, education, and entrepreneurship. Her passion for leadership and entrepreneurship led her toward the University Innovation Fellows program, where she explored design thinking, student leadership, and campus innovation.

As a University Innovation Fellow, Rajnandini worked actively with her teammates and other Fellows to promote innovation and design thinking on campus. She and her team started the Design and Innovation Club at their college to create a platform for students to collaborate, explore creative ideas, and develop problem-solving skills. She also collaborated with other Fellows to conduct many Design Thinking and innovation workshops at her college and other institutions.

Rajnandini has also served as a UI Guide, mentoring and supporting aspiring Fellows through their journey. She enjoys guiding students, helping them understand the UIF process, and encouraging them to become confident change agents in their own campus communities.

Along with her work in education and innovation, Rajnandini is also an entrepreneur and business consultant for startup companies. She is passionate about helping early-stage ideas grow through strategy, communication, innovation, and problem-solving. She has also volunteered for education and innovation development initiatives, supporting students and communities through learning-centered activities.

She is known for her communication skills, positive attitude, and ability to motivate others. Rajnandini enjoys supporting her peers, family, and community by listening to their ideas, encouraging them through challenges, and helping them think with confidence. She believes that people should not give up on their dreams because of discouragement from others. If they believe in their vision and values, they should move forward with courage and determination.

Rajnandini is also passionate about poetry, writing articles about life, love, dreams, and personal growth, reading books, and exploring meaningful learning experiences. Her love for writing and reading continues to be an important part of her creative identity.

Now based in the United States, through her professional experience in IT, entrepreneurship, business consulting, and her Doctorate in Education in Computer Science, Rajnandini hopes to continue learning about innovation, educational leadership, technology, and different teaching and learning environments. She looks forward to contributing as a learner, educator, technology professional, entrepreneur, mentor, and guide.
