	Claire McGee became a University Innovation Fellow in 2019 and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio University in 2021 with a BS in Public Health and a BA in Spanish. Currently, Claire is an Analyst at Valtruis, supporting Platform & Operations. Previously, Claire worked as an Innovation Consulting Associate at Healthbox and a Business Strategy Specialist at HIMSS. Prior to this, she held internship positions at Ohio Innovation Fund, a midwest venture capital fund, and Ariadne Labs, a joint center for health systems innovation at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is passionate about the potential for design thinking and technology drive improvements in health care delivery. -Claire is from Athens, Ohio and spends her breaks traveling and working around the world. She just recently returned from a summer internship working for a Danish maternal health non-profit in Bogotá, Colombia. Claire is also a Cutler Scholar at Ohio University, and is the Publisher of the largest student-run print magazine publication, Backdrop Magazine. In her free time, she works at the local running store and likes to be outside. She also enjoys playing guitar, singing, and cooking meals for her family and friends.
+During her time as a Fellow at Ohio University, Claire undertook several work streams to improve the innovation and entrepreneurship community on campus. She led numerous Design-Thinking workshops and was a finalist in the 2019 Design Challenge. Additionally, she and her co-Fellow, Dillon Mahr, led an effort to redesign first-year orientation programming to include Design Thinking methodology. Although she never got to attend the Silicon Valley Meetup, she attended the 2020 Alps Meetup in Salzburg, Austria, just before COVID hit.

She thinks that it is paramount to equip all students, regardless of major or discipline, with the tools to innovate and test their ideas. Through the UIF program, Claire hopes to earn the connections and skills to bring together her undergraduate classmates and create a campus climate that supports innovation and creativity as a means to improve Ohio University.
