 He served as the head of the mountain club from the summer of 2017 through the summer of 2018. He grew the club to 63 members, nearly double the previous number, making it the largest club in the high school. He was responsible for deciphering maps and weather maps at competitions and educating the girls' team at nationals in 2018 and 2019.

 TIDE is an organization composed mainly of students who have completed the UIF program to transform Tohoku University by themselves. He is one of the founding members and the first president of TIDE. The Tohoku University Innovation Festival, which he led, raised 500,000 yen through crowdfunding and was successfully held. Currently, this event continues as one of the Tohoku University Festival programs.

-Atsushi was born in Kansai. Kansai is famous for its talking culture. People in Kansai often talk to strangers, although Japanese culture is shyer than other countries’. His family are typical people in Kansai, and communicate at a good tempo when his relatives gather in one place. His talking skill in Japanese takes the lead among his friends. He uses this skill to connect skillful persons to one another. The Consulting club is one of the results from his connecting power. Starting from chatting in a little meeting, in a week, he gathered other 10 members. One member has certified bookkeeping and another member was a finalist of a business plan contest held by Tohoku University. Unifying skillful people is not easy because each member has a strong idea supported by each experiment and knowledge. However, he can do it. He always listens carefully to all ideas and makes original ideas using them. Making ideas reflect members' ideas provokes a contribution feeling. He makes and uses their positive mind effectively with his talking skill.
+He is studying chemical engineering at Tohoku University on weekdays and studying business in the International Strategy course on Saturdays. As part of his business class, he took a design thinking class by a faculty from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and was introduced to design thinking. He then spent two months with a venture company in Tohoku to receive education in Design Thinking by UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. This led to an invitation to join the UIF program at Stanford University d. school.
