Bozena I. Mierzejewska is an Associate Professor of Communication and Media Management at the Gabelli School of Business, Fordham University, New York, USA.

A native of Poland, Dr. Mierzejewska holds an M.A. in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics, and earned her Ph.D. in management at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Her research and teaching focuses on media management and media economics, publishing sectors and social media, innovation processes within media organizations and business models. She is one of the co-editors of the “Handbook of Media Management and Economics” (Routledge, 2018).
She is the editor of The International Journal on Media Management - and serves as an editorial board member at several academic journals.
Dr. Mierzejewska is a passionate educator and a recipient of multiple teaching awards. Currently she serves as an Academic Program Director of the Master of Science of Media Management offered at the Gabelli School of Business, and directs Center for Communications that supports research on media industries, consumer use of media, economic and social media trends.
