'''Wei-Yi (Zoe) Lee''' is a learning experience designer and visual storyteller based in Taiwan, with ongoing engagements in Japan. She graduated from Sophia University in Tokyo and was part of Stanford’s University Innovation Fellow (UIF) program where she developed her interest in design thinking. With a background in social innovation and a deep commitment to educational equity, she has supported students as an ESL tutor, life coach, and facilitator of Heartfulness workshops for high schoolers. During her gap year, Zoe explored child-centered learning in Reggio-inspired preschools and worked with marginalized youth through outdoor education programs. She is especially drawn to designing learning experiences that foster belonging, authenticity, and self-compassion—the heart of Heartfulness.

Beyond the classroom, Zoe documents personal and collective journeys through writing and film, weaving stories that connect people across cultures and generations. She is passionate about reimagining education not as knowledge delivery, but as an invitation to grow, co-create, and become.

Hey guys, I just looked at this during training because in the times of COVID it sounded so cute to give out free hugs again and hopefully one day soon we could actually be approved to do something like this on Mines' campus.

== Unique Idea ==

I think this was a really clever idea, and I completely understand that some days a hug is all that students need. Not only are hugs an effective way to increase one's sense of comfort and trust, but they also establish a sense of community that colleges and universities can use to their benefit.

== A simple but effective idea ==

We know the biology behind hugging, so we know hugging is one of the best ways of reducing stress. Then, why not apply this effective method on our campuses during the most stressful times, such as final exam weeks? As a person who strongly believes in positive energy, I really wanted to organize this event on my campus.

== Love this idea! ==

I think it would be even better if the organizers give a small card with positive messages and affirmations after giving a hug to an individual! (ex: "Have a nice day!", "You can do it!")
