Zoerein: Passion is key!

Some of the most meaningful and reflective learning experiences I have had came when a teacher/professor started a course by asking what the students wanted to learn. By asking that initial question, the education became the student's in a new and powerful way. Having students design their own passion courses is a way to unite under common topic as well as gain awareness for a cause. These courses that students can pour their whole soul into are what make other people want to join a cause. People are excited by passion and making a course dedicated to these passions is a great way to get people thinking!

==Bio==
Zoë Rein is a math with teacher licensure major and an intended minor in teaching English to speakers of other languages. Her interest in interdisciplinary studies prompts her to constantly seek out opportunities for new learning and growth.
At Elon, she is an Honors Fellow who also participates in the Peace Corps Prep Program in the hopes of teaching with the Peace Corps after graduation. Additionally, her deep passion for education and correcting its disparities led her to volunteer with in the Village Project, tutoring local K-12 students, and work as a student coordinator for Lunch Buddies, a program pairing Elon student mentors with elementary students.
