Susruth is a university innovation fellow and a computer science undergraduate from Saagi Ramakrishnam Raju Engineering College (SRKREC).He is born and grown-up in Visakhapatnam, he loves coding,so he choosen computer science stream in B.Tech and moved to Bhimavaram for higher studies in 2015, there he started living on his own to learn important life experiences.

In his times in SRKREC, he worked for advancement and benefits of various coding clubs and other organizations,Apart from studying undergraduate he conducted various student meets to improve their skills.Susruth is a member of chairman-body of  Innovation Hub and working for its develpoment.He is an active social worker. In his spare time, he works on new algorithms and tries to challenge his skill-set.

After his high school, Susruth choosen his career path to be an entrepeneur, so he can work for his own passion.He always wants to bring change in the society by his innovative ideas and skills.In SRKREC, He is working to improve digital literacy in his campus.He participated and won in various workshops and competitions. He believes in practical approach toward problems and patience during tough times.He want to be the change to bring change in his surrounding.

There are a lot of misconceptions in students regarding the college. Although, the college is very intrested in providing a platform for its students they feel that the college isn't providing resources for their projects. At the same time we also have to act as a mediator between the students and the college management which helps them in building mutual relations with each other.
One of the main mottos of Team I-Hub is to become a platform b/w students and management  which solves this problem. Every Doubts,Questions,Problems of the students can be brought to team I-Hub which are then cleared by Team I-Hub who will escalate the problem to the management.'''#Motivating Students''''''A'''nother problem which we observed from  our students is that they lack Motivation. As we know '''Motivation keeps us Moving''' forward in any aspect we do. So,We had a strategy to motivate students where people from different fields will address the students once in every 10 days. These guests may be a senior professor,entreprenuer,etc., The main motto of this program being conducted once in every 10 days is to motivate students in a wa that they will get the confidence to achieve what they want.

Now-a-days people are good at using apps rather than reading books. Our college doesn't have an app although people are more interested in using that. So, in order to pass the necessary information we hereby come up with an idea of developing a college app.

This app works under the following guidelines :

*Giving a unique ID to all it's users
*Providing details of  all it's departments
*Including faculty
*Letting students connected with the faculty for guidance
*Giving information regarding the assignments Information regarding Events conducted by various departmental organisations
*Ratings of the events conducted by clubs
*Feedbacks concerned with the respective faculty
*Newsfeed regarding what"s going on! in the college
*Information regarding the percentage of attendance the student secured
*Schedules of all the lectures

In this way people get more connected with the faculty and with the information about various programs.  

== Strategy #4 : Encouraging Sport : ==

There is no information about the games conducted in and outside of the colloge.P.E.T(Physical Education Teacher) shows interest for only specific games and neglects the other games.  

So, there is an idea  to start a sports club. Which brings students talent out (who are interested). It's main motto is to encourage the hidden talents of the students which in turn helps in employability. This club contains a group of students (students from every game) for driving this .So, every activities will be conducted by these students.

These club members are the captains of each game (Cricket, football, Volley ball, Basket ball…..etc).

They directly deals with the Principal and P.E.T regarding any sports event that should be conducted or running events outside the college. They need to select the students for college team of each game for the next  academic year.

In our college there are 6 departments Each department contains students of 4 years . Each academic year has 4 sections .As soon as the club starts functioning they conduct a introductory event of one and half month. Event in the sense a competition that brings seriousness among the interested candidates in each section of the department.

This one and half month introductory event is divided into 6 weeks . each for each department, for  example first goes ECE .The week allotted for ece is again divided into 5 days. 1st day for all sections of  1st year. Each Section Should bring there teams for the respective games like volleyball, cricket ,tennis….etc. Among these teams the club members select the students and form a team of 1st year. The same thing happens with the Second years, third years and fourth years of  ece.

Now the fifth day  the competition will be among the selected candidates of 1st ,2nd ,3rd and 4th of ece and a  finial team from Ece will be picked out irrespective of the academic years only based on the talent and skill.

In coming weeks same thing will happen with the other branches too. That means at the end of the one and month event we have 6 department teams for each game .

After a month gap .There will be 6 teams for each game from all branches .we schedule the second event with the 6 branch teams for each games . From this 6 teams they scrutinize their skill and pick a single team for each game. That is “COLLEGE TEAM”

In Andhra Pradesh college fests will be conducted in the second half of the academic year generally they include sports .So this college teams practice for those fests

== Student Entrepreneurship ==

Perhaps the biggest strenght of the college is the support and Encouragement of management for upcoming entreprenuers. SRKREC encourages and promotes the students to think innovatively and develop their entrepreneurship skills in different ways. The management regularly inspires its students by conducting summits on career-guidance,innovation,entreprenuership,etc., It also have departmental organisations like IETE,ACE,AME,IE,CSI,AEE which emphasizes on improving the technical skills of its students which inturn evokes the entreprenurial insights of the students.These organisations helps the students to prototype their ideas which will be later sent to the Technology and Innovation centre of the college. The Tech centre is the base for all the entreprenurial and innovation activities of the college. Students who have ideas or prototypes will be using the tech centre to  develop their product and pitch it to Investors for Funding. In the recent years , SRKREC have produced some top class scientists and entreprenuers with their support and encouragement. Many students have got patents for their prototypes and went on to become succesful entreprenuers. 

== Faculty Innovation and Entrepreneurship ==

The college faculty is highly involved in entreprenurial and innovation activities.As much as 14 people have patents on their works which explains the faculty's involvement in research and entreprenuership. SRKREC's faculty have been partners in many software and hardware companies. This helped the college to achieve more job oppurtunities to students seeking jobs and stood as one of the very few colleges which achieved 100% campus placement. Some persons from the faculty like Dr.Padma raju have been the founder of NetEnrich Technologies which is one of the  leading software companies in India. Students are getting benifited by the faculty as their contacts are helping the students to build-up carrers of their stuents.The college had a faculty-student ratio of 1:15  which brought extensive care between students and faculty.38%of the faculty holds doctorates from different fields which shows the intrest of faculty in research and entreprenuership. The faculty follows the ploicy of "Aspire to Inspire"

== Student Entrepreneurship ==

Perhaps the biggest strenght of the college is the support and Encouragement of management for upcoming entreprenuers. SRKREC encourages and promotes the students to think innovatively and develop their entrepreneurship skills in different ways. The management regularly inspires its students by conducting summits on career-guidance,innovation,entreprenuership,etc., It also have departmental organisations like IETE,ACE,AME,IE,CSI,AEE which emphasizes on improving the technical skills of its students which inturn evokes the entreprenurial insights of the students.These organisations helps the students to prototype their ideas which will be later sent to the Technology and Innovation centre of the college. The Tech centre is the base for all the entreprenurial and innovation activities of the college. Students who have ideas or prototypes will be using the tech centre to  develop their product and pitch it to Investors for Funding. In the recent years , SRKREC have produced some top class scientists and entreprenuers with their support and encouragement. Many students have got patents for their prototypes and went on to become succesful entreprenuers.

The college faculty is highly involved in entreprenurial and innovation activities.As much as 14 people have patents on their works which explains the faculty's involvement in research and entreprenuership. SRKREC's faculty have been partners in many software and hardware companies. This helped the college to achieve more job oppurtunities to students seeking jobs and stood as one of the very few colleges which achieved 100% campus placement. Some persons from the faculty like Dr.Padma raju have been the founder of NetEnrich Technologies which is one of the  leading software companies in India. Students are getting benifited by the faculty as their contacts are helping the students to build-up carrers of their stuents.The college had a faculty-student ratio of 1:15  which brought extensive care between students and faculty.38%of the faculty holds doctorates from different fields which shows the intrest of faculty in research and entreprenuership. Each Section Should bring there teams for the respective games like volleyball, cricket ,tennis….etc. Among these teams the club members select the students and form a team of 1st year. The same thing happens with the Second years, third years and fourth years of  ece.

Now the fifth day  the competition will be among the selected candidates of 1st ,2nd ,3rd and 4th of ece and a  finial team from Ece will be picked out irrespective of the academic years only based on the talent and skill.

To create an app, that used to pass information on various events , academic details like holidays, attedence, marks, etc..

The information is divided into department wise and other section- common to all departments.

Whoever has the app can acess the information, but information can only post by departmental Hods, Principal, and Organizations.

We also want to use this app for feedback purpose, to get feedback from student on various matters like teachers performance, event ratings, and thier ideas and views towards college.

There is no information about the games conducted in and outside of the colloge.PET Shows interest for only a particular game cricket. And neglects the other games.  

So, there is an idea  to start a sports club. Which brings students talent out (who are interested). Its main motto is to encourage the hidden talents of the students which in turn helps in employability. This  club contains a group of students (students from every game) for driving this .So, every activities will be conducted by these students.

These club members are the captains of each game (Cricket, football, Volley ball, Basket ball…..etc).

In our college there are 6 departments Each department contains students of 4 years . Each academic year has 4 sections .As soon as the club starts functioning they conduct a introductory event of one and half month. Event in the sense a competition that brings seriousness among the interested candidates in each section of the department.

This one and half month introductory event is divided into 6 weeks . each for each department, for  example first goes ECE .The week allotted for ece is again divided into 5 days. 1st day for all sections of  1st year. Each Section Should bring there teams for the respective games like volleyball, cricket ,tennis….etc. Among these teams the club members select the students and form a team of 1st year. The same thing happens with the Second years, third years and fourth years of  ece.

Now the fifth day  the competition will be among the selected candidates of 1st ,2nd ,3rd and 4th of ece and a  finial team from Ece will be picked out irrespective of the academic years only based on the talent and skill.

In coming weeks same thing will happen with the other branches too. That means at the end of the one and month event we have 6 department teams for each game .

After a month gap .There will be 6 teams for each game from all branches .we schedule the second event with the 6 branch teams for each games . From this 6 teams they scrutinize their skill and pick a single team for each game. That is “COLLEGE TEAM”

This one and half month introductory event is divided into 6 weeks . each for each department, for  example first goes ECE .The week allotted for ece is again divided into 5 days. 1st day for all sections of  1st year. Each Section Should bring there teams for the respective games like volleyball, cricket ,tennis….etc. Among these teams the club members select the students and form a team of 1st year. The same thing happens with the Second years, third years and fourth years of  ece.

Now the fifth day  the competition will be among the selected candidates of 1st ,2nd ,3rd and 4th of ece and a  finial team from Ece will be picked out irrespective of the academic years only based on the talent and skill.

In coming weeks same thing will happen with the other branches too. That means at the end of the one and month event we have 6 department teams for each game .

Susruth is a university innovation fellow and a computer science undergraduate from Saagi Ramakrishnam Raju Engineering College (SRKREC).He is born and grown-up in Visakhapatnam, he loves coding,so he choosen computer science stream in B.Tech and moved to Bhimavaram for higher studies in 2015, there he started living on his own to learn important life experiences.

In his times in SRKREC, he worked for advancement and benefits of various coding clubs and other organizations,Apart from studying undergraduate he conducted various student meets to improve their skills.Susruth is a member of chairman-body of  Innovation Hub and working for its develpoment.He is an active social worker. Perhaps the biggest strenght of the college is the support and Encouragement of management for upcoming entreprenuers. SRKREC encourages and promotes the students to think innovatively and develop their entrepreneurship skills in different ways. The management regularly inspires its students by conducting summits on career-guidance,innovation,entreprenuership,etc., It also have departmental organisations like IETE,ACE,AME,IE,CSI,AEE which emphasizes on improving the technical skills of its students which inturn evokes the entreprenurial insights of the students.These organisations helps the students to prototype their ideas which will be later sent to the Technology and Innovation centre of the college. The Tech centre is the base for all the entreprenurial and innovation activities of the college. The management regularly inspires its students by conducting summits on career-guidance,innovation,entreprenuership,etc., It also have departmental organisations like IETE,ACE,AME,IE,CSI,AEE which emphasizes on improving the technical skills of its students which inturn evokes the entreprenurial insights of the students.These organisations helps the students to prototype their ideas which will be later sent to the Technology and Innovation centre of the college. The Tech centre is the base for all the entreprenurial and innovation activities of the college. Students who have ideas or prototypes will be using the tech centre to  develop their product and pitch it to Investors for Funding. In the recent years , SRKREC have produced some top class scientists and entreprenuers with their support and encouragement. Many students have got patents for their prototypes and went on to become succesful entreprenuers.

The college faculty is highly involved in entreprenurial and innovation activities.As much as 14 people have patents on their works which explains the faculty's involvement in research and entreprenuership. SRKREC's faculty have been partners in many software and hardware companies. This helped the college to achieve more job oppurtunities to students seeking jobs and stood as one of the very few colleges which achieved 100% campus placement. Some persons from the faculty like Dr.Padma raju have been the founder of NetEnrich Technologies which is one of the  leading software companies in India. Students are getting benifited by the faculty as their contacts are helping the students to build-up carrers of their stuents.The college had a faculty-student ratio of 1:15  which brought extensive care between students and faculty.38%of the faculty holds doctorates from different fields which shows the intrest of faculty in research and entreprenuership. Curriculum can take shape in many forms including pop-up classes, classes for credit, and workshops in an Innovation Center. Sessions that allow students to learn a topic for credit towards their degree that often form after a professor has tried the lesson in an experimental fashion. A key to starting any movement on a university is faculty support. [http://www.tmooredesign.com/ Timothy Moore] it, “You need to find at least one advisor who will be your rock. Basically, they will be the bridge between you and the university. Anything you want to accomplish or support for will go through them.” There is no limit for how many advisors you can have, in fact, the more faculty that you can get on board with your idea the more resources you will have.

To find faculty support, you must do your homework first. (This step taken literally won’t hurt your chances either because you will need teachers to like you.) You will need to find a professor who is very passionate about a topic that is close to yours. Just google your professor’s name and see what comes up! Any biographies, ads, even social media can help you to find a passionate professor.

The next step is forming a relationship. The more quickly you can do this then the closer you will be to your end goal. Start by building up information about the professor and their interests. If you are taking a class instructed by them this will be easy because they most likely will have told you about themselves and you will already have a reason for speaking with them. If you are not taking a class from the professor, then it’s up to you to create an open line of communication. When initially starting any form of relationship with someone, start with asking about them and their goals. Showing interest in their work will make them interested in yours. When you finally feel comfortable asking for their help do so, and this will build a foundation with your advisor. Do not become discouraged if they decline your offer, it simply means that there is an even greater advisor to find.

If you are fortunate enough to be working with several advisors, then be sure to arrange a system that allows you to maximize your support from each. Set up a strong communication network that everyone can easily access and be sure to help foster relations between your advisors. Periodic meetings will help your advisors to know what they can do to help.

== Pop-Up Classes ==

An example of a Pop-up class idea for entrepreneurial-minded students could be  “Pitching your idea to an Investors” The attendees would form small groups and come up with a business idea.  By the end of the workshop, each group would have to pitch their new, innovative idea to each instructor, like a future investor.

            Students, faculty, and the community would be reinforced to remember that no idea is dumb during the workshop. Imagine how many people called the person who created the float, pool Noodle dumb when he or she pitched the idea to someone, that person is now very rich.  The purpose is to be brave when creating ideas, have fun, and learn crucial, hands on skills that will help accelerate their success. One does not learn without taking chances and what a better place to try new experiences than in a Pop-Up class.

            University Innovation Fellow, Timothy Moore, discussed with a group of UIF candidates how his team and he created a curriculum for their innovation center.  Moore’s team was so successful with their marketing strategies to get attendees, James Madison University developed locations around campus to “ educate, collaborate, and Innovate” for students, faculty, and the surrounding community.  The JMU X Labs started with very few courses and now have classes that stretch from ''Drones'' to ''Hacking for Defense'' and all the way to ''Augmented & Virtual Reality Design.''

       Their team marketed the Pop-Up classes one month in advance with-

       Flyers and Posters around campus

       Social Medias- Facebook page, instagram, twitter

       School T.V screens around campus

       Stepping into various classes (with the teachers permission of course) and pitching one to two minute informational to the              students about what the course will be about.

            The awesome part of Pop- Up courses is that it connects students around campus that might have not had the opportunity to meet each other due to a difference in majors.  Students studying chemistry that may have business aspirations also could take a Pop- Up class that is located in the Business department of school or vice versa. These types of expansions throughout campus are going to benefit and encourage students from all walks of life and majors to learn to work together and generate ideas that will change the world.

== Expansion ==

The process of developing a curriculum for a future Innovation Center located on the campus of a University is a long, slow process.  It takes a dedicated team with a vision to provide resources not already on a campus for a new, innovative style of learning. A place for the entrepreneurs and motivated students that want to make a difference, plan and brainstorm for the ideas of the future, to come and gather as one.The steps a team has taken are to network with the right professor or faculty, start raising funds. After a team has their envisioned curriculum backed by the right professor, with funds rolling in for expenses, expansion of their center will start. Expansion of an Innovation Center can be many things. It can be broadening the amount of topics they are allowed to cover, getting more mentors and advisors; more money starts to roll in

When discussing the introduction of new curriculum into a school setting, it is important to gain support from faculty and attract students to the classes for which the curriculum is being designed.

Regarding faculty, it is important to understand their backgrounds and what might incite them to teach a specific curriculum. This is covered largely in the Faculty Support section. When it comes to actually contacting the faculty and securing their participation, some of the following tactics might be employed.

*Getting in touch with faculty:
**Find a “friend” on staff/faculty/administration
**Send out mass emails to faculty
**Display ads for your curriculum on televisions and display boards around campus
*Convince faculty the curriculum is worth their time:
**With needs and data as to why new curriculum is necessary
**Use ideas from other schools as a bargaining tool for comparison

***MIT has the most Nobel Prize winning alumni, if they have ___ curriculum, why don’t we?

Students are oftentimes more difficult to entice, as they already have packed schedules and minimal time to spare. The best ways to attract students is often by creating weird and unusual events. Students will attend something that inspires them or gets them thinking critically. Oftentimes, this can be done through the simple forms of advertisement listed:

*Advertising to students
**1-2minute pitch at the beginning of classes by each team members
