Passionate about education equity and equality, Will Walker, a junior at the University of Richmond explores his passions through a leadership studies and English double major while minoring in gender studies. Will is currently exploring the ways that discrimination and inequality impact marginalized communities in higher education settings. On a typical “academic day” he can be found reading about financial aid policies, admissions criteria, and the social environments of public and private American institutions. Outside of his academic interest, Will also has a passion for creative processes such as writing, photography and digital design. He is the current editor in chief of Forum Magazine, a student publication of the University of Richmond, and he actively writes and designs for a number of other university publications and platforms.

In addition to serving as a Univeristy Innovation Fellow, Will works as a resident assistant and a student intern in the office of undergradate admission. He also serves a senttor for the Richmond College Student Goverment Association at the Uniersity of Richmond. Will inspires others to make and lead change. Active across a varitey of platforms, Will is a servant leader, a scholar and activist.

Xiaodi (Sara) Hu is a University Innovation Fellow and she majors in physics, psychology and computer science at the University of Richmond.  She has a passion in sciences and problem solving, and she is trained by her interests to be a rational thinker. She decided to double major in Physics and Psychology during her first year at U of R. The research experiences she got from both subjects in the past two summers facilitate her thinking as a scientist, which means to be not only detailed and objective, but also creative in a realistic way. The same experiences also reminds her of the importance of computer science in this era, then she decides to have a third major in Computer Science. Outside of the class, she actively participates in different organizations that can make changes on campus such as the Student Government Associations and the International Students Ambassadors. Her greatest hobby is free writing, which serves as a way to relax and noting down all her creative thoughts.  Related Links:

[[File:Ktk.jpeg|thumb]]Kartikey Sharma is a University Innovation Fellow and sophomore at the University of Richmond, majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. Growing up in various cities around India, Kartikey developed a fondness for reading, playing soccer, math, and doodling behind his notebook - something which developed into a lasting passion for creating things. He left Jaipur in 2018 to study at the University of Richmond as a Richmond Scholar, attracted by the liberal arts model and the strong professor-student connections that the univeristy fosters. 

At the University of Richmond, Kartikey is involved with research on difference sets: mathematical objects which are at the heart of error-free wireless communication. With his friends, he also designed an app called Erdos to provide a platform for collaboration and ideation to communities such as hackathons and universities. He is on the Bollywood Jhatkas dance troupe, and is also a part of the executive board of the South Asian Student Alliance. With the University Innovation Fellows program, Kartikey hopes to be a more active member of the UR community and to use entrepreneurial techniques to help the campus be more entrepreneurial.

Born and raised in the urban city of Karachi, Pakistan and as a former alum of the United World College movement, he has deep interests in global politics and international affairs. In fact, he is currently double majoring in Poltical Science and Economics and is actively involved in many politics related and public speaking clubs and organizations on campus. During his free time, Sandeep can be found serving and working with the Richmond community and members of the surrounding local vicinity which is why he joined the Omicron Phi chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity, during his freshman year in 2018. Sandeep also believes in the power of stories and art in creating social change, where he loves writing and performing his own poetry centred around human experiences at monthly Open Mic nights on his campus. He is also very passionate about creating original dance and theatricial pieces that stem from a range of social challenges our society is facing today.

As one of the founding UIFs at the University of Ricmond, Sandeep hopes to bridge the gap between students and faculty by ensuring that student voice is actively heard when new courses or other academic programs/curriculmns are designed. He also hopes to work with the Faculty Hub over the next few years in helping foster an environment of "sharing, caring, and learning" amongst the faculty, whereby other faculty actively partake in improving their teaching and making their courses more innovative. His work in collaboration with the Faculty Hub will also involve forming a medium where access to resources and support needed for these teaching or course improvemnet/innovation changes are readily available. Sandeep is an undergraduate student at the University of Richmond, VA and a member of the very first UIF leadership circle on his campus -the EntrepreneURs. Born and raised in the urban city of Karachi, Pakistan and as a former alum of the United World College movement, he has deep interests in global politics and international affairs. In fact, he is currentlt double majoring in Poltical Science and Economics and is actively involved in many politics related and public speaking clubs and organizations on campus. During his free time, Sandeep can be found serving and working with the Richmond community and members of the surrounding local vicinity which is why he joined the Omicron Phi chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, a national service fraternity, during his freshman year in 2018. Sandeep also believes in the power of stories and art in creating social change, where he loves writing and performing his own poetry centred around human experiences at monthly Open Mic nights on his campus.
