He is a candidate for University Innovation Fellowship program where he is representing KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, India. Sagar is passionate about entrepreneurship and he has  pitched  ideas  at  business plan competitions. He is also associated with various innovation and entrepreneurship activities happening in his city and is also a member of aeromodelling team of his college. He is good at debate, quiz and has also travelled to different places to attend hackathons.</span>

<div>Sanjana Baliga is a University Innovation Fellow and is a junior pursuing B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, India. She is a part of a leadership circle of four fellows at her college who are passionate about improving and enhancing the educational experience for all students. [[File:SanjanaBaliga.JPG|thumb|SanjanaBaliga.JPG]]</div><div><br/></div><div>Her journey at college so far has been a roller coaster ride of sorts. In her first year, Sanjana was bound only to academics and did not explore the possibilities beyond the curriculum. Needless to say, this left her wanting more. In her second year at college, she resolved to look out for opportunities and realized that her college provided a conducive environment for teams to flourish. Sanjana has a diverse set of interests. She has been part of the literary team, and a student formula racing team. Currently, she is a member of the aeromodelling team for her college. After having concluded that working collaboratively with her peers has greatly enriched her learning experience, she strives to bring this to other students. Because the teams in her college have rigorous selection procedures, being open only to a select few students, she is looking forward to creating an environment that encourages the formation of clubs that are accessible to all - beginners to experts.</div><div><br/></div><div>Sanjana takes a keen interest in all things science, and is fascinated by the power of technology today.            Ajay  Chandrapattan  is a Mechanical Engineering undergrad at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi, India. He is a candidate of [[File:Ajay Chandrapattan.jpg|thumb|Ajay Chandrapattan.jpg]]University Innovation Fellows training. He is a Student Exchange Delegate and has represented India at Tokyo, Japan under Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, for the Students Exchange Program - JENESYS, 2011 (JAPAN EAST ASIA NETWOIRK OF EXCHANGE OF STUDENTS AND YOUTHS). He pursues  Major in Political Science from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, India. He is a Flying Cadet of Air Wing  Squadron of National Cadet Coprs (NCC) – 8 KAR AIR SQN NCC. He is honored with ‘YUVA CHETANA AWARD 2016 – Warriors of Change’ in National Level Consistent Category by Youth For Seva (service), for his contribution and work in social sector. 

He has represented the state of Karnataka and commanded the NSS Karanataka Contingent at the prestigious Republic  Day (RD) Parade on 26<sup>th</sup> January, 2016. He currently serves as University Student Coordinator of National Service Scheme (NSS) of Visvesvaraya Technological University, under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.  He serves as the District Head of STUDENTS FOR DEVELOPMENT (SFD) of Belagavi District under AKHIL BHARATIYA VIDYARTHI PARISHAD (ABVP) – the world’s largest student organization. He is the Co – Founder of students NGO – UMEED (Hope).  He is the Student Coordinator of ‘Forum For Integrated and National Security’ (FINS), Belagavi Chapter and serves as the Steering Committee Member of  ‘Youth For Seva’ (YFS), Belagavi Chapter. He has collaborated with his team to innovate  “D.H.A.R.A” – ‘Device for Health monitoring And Rejuvination of Agriculture’, which conducts real-time and portable soil-testing process and gives weather and soil updates to the farmers, in real –time on their cellphones.

Being a social crusader and public speaker, his passion lies in consistently working for the student community and the society. A true patriot at heart and strong believer in the Indian Culture and value system, he strives with a single point agenda to be An Agent of Change to ‘Make A Difference’.

Sanjana Gombi is a candidate of University Innovation Fellowship Program. She is pursuing BE in Computer Science at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi. After choosing engineering as her career, Sanjana has been involved in a lot of technical and social clubs for encouraging the students to develop skills in the field of their interest. Sanjana aims to become an agent of change to required improvements in the campus ecosystem through UIF program.
<div><br/></div><div>She thinks that an entrepreneurial mindset is something that is extremely important in this day and age and that she will use the same passion to instrument change in the society.</div><div><br/></div><div>Sanjana was awarded as the ‘ Student of the Year’ during her Pre Univesity days for her contribution in college activities and her outstanding performance in academics. She also worked as an editor for the same college for 2 years. Currently Sanjana is an editor at Rotaract Club ofGIT, an active member of Literary club and Association of Computer Engineers. Sanjana is also selected as a Campus Ambassoder for Shaastra (a Technical Fest by Indian Institute of Technology Madras)</div><div><br/></div><div>Sanjana is presently working on a number of projects that focuses on helping the society to bring about a sustainable change in the process. There are students eager to learn new things and there are also students eager to teach what they know to others. There are a few student clubs on campus that exist, but are not functional. We need to revive these clubs so that they can start organising competitions and workshops for students. Apart from this, we need to identify students from every branch who have good knowledge about their field and can teach other students. They will form the core team of the community. Then we can organise meetups for interested students on selected topics every weekend (say, Saturdays) where students can meet and discuss concepts and ideas. This will lead to greater interaction between students, and creating a conducive environment for innovation. Under this community, we can also have a group of students who work on larger, long-term projects that will help the college. Currently, we rely on third-parties for several software solutions. These groups focused on projects can elect a faculty member who can guide them. To ensure greater participation of students, we will require bus facilities on the weekends. Also, having a space where such sessions can be conducted is essential. Teams involved in cultural activities like art, drama and music can also be involved in this community and have events for students who may want to learn from them.</span></span>

“CREATING  A  JOB  IS  BETTER  THAN  FINDING  ONE”

Encouraging  entrepreneurship  on the campus is a challenging and significant task . The following reasons are broadly the hindrances due to which students  are not involved in entrepreneurship :

1)      Conventional mindset of the students  - to get a secured job right after graduation;

2)      Lack of awareness  and interest in the process and concept of entrepreneurship;

3)      Not coming out of the comfort zones of a lucrative job and no risk –taking capability for becoming an entrepreneur, etc.

The following tactics are the ways through entrepreneurship has to  be encouraged among the students in the campus :

Tactic  #1 :  Encouraging Start – Ups  and  extensively promoting  new concepts  like – “ONE BATCH – ONE START-UP”

Tactic  #2 :  Working on unfinished projects/ potential  ideas or concepts left out by the passed out final year students

Tactic  #3 :  Encouraging Inter – Disciplinary project groups.

Tactic  #4  :  Industrial Visits should be organized twice a month.

           Ajay  Chandrapattan  is a Mechanical Engineering undergrad at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi, India. He is a candidate of [[File:Ajay Chandrapattan.jpg|thumb]]University Innovation Fellows training. He is a Student Exchange Delegate and has represented India at Tokyo, Japan under Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, for the Students Exchange Program - JENESYS, 2011 (JAPAN EAST ASIA NETWOIRK OF EXCHANGE OF STUDENTS AND YOUTHS). He pursues  Major in Political Science from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, India. He is a Flying Cadet of Air Wing  Squadron of National Cadet Coprs (NCC) – 8 KAR AIR SQN NCC. He is honored with ‘YUVA CHETANA AWARD 2016 – Warriors of Change’ in National Level Consistent Category by Youth For Seva (service), for his contribution and work in social sector. 

He has represented the state of Karnataka and commanded the NSS Karanataka Contingent at the prestigious Republic  Day (RD) Parade on 26<sup>th</sup> January, 2016. He currently serves as University Student Coordinator of National Service Scheme (NSS) of Visvesvaraya Technological University, under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.  He serves as the District Head of STUDENTS FOR DEVELOPMENT (SFD) of Belagavi District under AKHIL BHARATIYA VIDYARTHI PARISHAD (ABVP) – the world’s largest student organization. He is the Co – Founder of students NGO – UMEED (Hope).  He is the Student Coordinator of ‘Forum For Integrated and National Security’ (FINS), Belagavi Chapter and serves as the Steering Committee Member of  ‘Youth For Seva’ (YFS), Belagavi Chapter. He has collaborated with his team to innovate  “D.H.A.R.A” – ‘Device for Health monitoring And Rejuvination of Agriculture’, which conducts real-time and portable soil-testing process and gives weather and soil updates to the farmers, in real –time on their cellphones.

Being a social crusader and public speaker, his passion lies in consistently working for the student community and the society. A true patriot at heart and strong believer in the Indian Culture and value system, he strives with a single point agenda to be An Agent of Change to ‘Make A Difference’.

He is a candidate for University Innovation Fellowship program where he is representing KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, India. Sagar is passionate about entrepreneurship and he has  pitched  ideas  at  business plan competitions. He is also associated with various innovation and entrepreneurship activities happening in his city and is also a member of aeromodelling team of his college. He is good at debate, quiz and has also travelled to different places to attend hackathons.</span>

<span style="font-size:larger;">He is a  member of  LEAD (LEaders Accelerating Development), an organization which fosters innovative and entrepreneurial thinking within college students through community service. Sanjana Gombi is a candidate of University Innovation Fellowship Program. She is pursuing BE in Computer Science at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi. After choosing engineering as her career, Sanjana has been involved in a lot of technical and social clubs for encouraging the students to develop skills in the field of their interest. Sanjana aims to become an agent of change to required improvements in the campus ecosystem through UIF program.
<div><br/></div><div>She thinks that an entrepreneurial mindset is something that is extremely important in this day and age and that she will use the same passion to instrument change in the society.</div><div><br/></div><div>Sanjana was awarded as the ‘ Student of the Year’ during her Pre Univesity days for her contribution in college activities and her outstanding performance in academics. She also worked as an editor for the same college for 2 years. Currently Sanjana is an editor at Rotaract Club ofGIT, an active member of Literary club and Association of Computer Engineers. Sanjana is also selected as a Campus Ambassoder for Shaastra (a Technical Fest by Indian Institute of Technology Madras)</div><div><br/></div><div>Sanjana is presently working on a number of projects that focuses on helping the society to bring about a sustainable change in the process. In her first year, Sanjana was bound only to academics and did not explore the possibilities beyond the curriculum. Needless to say, this left her wanting more. In her second year at college, she resolved to look out for opportunities and realized that her college provided a conducive environment for teams to flourish. Sanjana has a diverse set of interests. She has been part of the literary team, and a student formula racing team. Currently, she is a member of the aeromodelling team for her college. After having concluded that working collaboratively with her peers has greatly enriched her learning experience, she strives to bring this to other students. Because the teams in her college have rigorous selection procedures, being open only to a select few students, she is looking forward to creating an environment that encourages the formation of clubs that are accessible to all - beginners to experts.</div><div><br/></div><div>Sanjana takes a keen interest in all things science, and is fascinated by the power of technology today. Apart from subjects related to their core branches, there are subjects such as Management and Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking which have been introduced quite recently. Students are exposed to ways of thinking innovatively. Events on innovation keep happening in the form of technical fests like Avalanche, and students also participate in competitions organised by the Government of India and other entities. We have a Department of Management Studies that offers a major in entrepreneurship. There are a few clubs like the Programmers Club and the </span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Entrepreneurship Development Programme which promote innovative thinking among students. Hackathons organised by the New Age Incubation Network (NAIN) help to identify potential student projects that can be funded by the Government of Karnataka. Students are encouraged towards innovative thinking through mini projects that they have every semester. In addition to this, every branch has a Design Thinking course for a semester in which students have to individually come up with a prototype that solves a unique problem. We have the Industry-Institute Partnership Cell which has facilities like Flexible Manufacturing System, Rapid Prototyping Machine, Coordinate Manufacturing Machine and Surface Roughness Machine, which can be used by students who have undertaken some projects, and also by the industry to train new recruits from the college. The NAIN Incubation Centre has all the facilities conducive to start start-ups by students. Extracurricular teams for the SAE competitions encourage students to think differently, come up with their own ideas for problems that have constraints, and market their creation at the end. The Computer Science and Engineering department has industry partnerships to provide internships to students. The Mechanical Department has a tie-up with Quest Global to provide CAD/CAM training to students. In addition to this, there is the Tata Technologies Ready Engineer program. In the IT Incubation Center in our college itself, provides start-ups with an address and takes no fees for the first six months. Startup India, an initiative by the Government of India, provides 75% of patent filing fee and 100% of company registration fees. We also have faculty who are members of The Indus Entrepreneurs, and through this network they help to bring in entrepreneurs to interact with students.</span></span>

He pursues  Major in Political Science from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, India. He is a Flying Cadet of Air Wing  Squadron of National Cadet Coprs (NCC) – 8 KAR AIR SQN NCC. He is honored with ‘YUVA CHETANA AWARD 2016 – Warriors of Change’ in National Level Consistent Category by Youth For Seva (service), for his contribution and work in social sector. 

He has represented the state of Karnataka and commanded the NSS Karanataka Contingent at the prestigious Republic  Day (RD) Parade on 26<sup>th</sup> January, 2016. He is the Co – Founder of students NGO – UMEED (Hope).  He is the Student Coordinator of ‘Forum For Integrated and National Security’ (FINS), Belagavi Chapter and serves as the Steering Committee Member of  ‘Youth For Seva’ (YFS), Belagavi Chapter. He has collaborated with his team to innovate  “D.H.A.R.A” – ‘Device for Health monitoring And Rejuvination of Agriculture’, which conducts real-time and portable soil-testing process and gives weather and soil updates to the farmers, in real –time on their cellphones.

He is a candidate for University Innovation Fellowship program where he is representing KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, India. Sagar is passionate about entrepreneurship and he has  pitched  ideas  at  business plan competitions. He is also associated with various innovation and entrepreneurship activities happening in his city and is also a member of aeromodelling team of his college. He is good at debate, quiz and has also travelled to different places to attend hackathons.</span>

<span style="font-size:larger;">He is a  member of  LEAD (LEaders Accelerating Development), an organization which fosters innovative and entrepreneurial thinking within college students through community service. Sanjana aims to become an agent of change to required improvements in the campus ecosystem through UIF program.

In her second year at college, she resolved to look out for opportunities and realized that her college provided a conducive environment for teams to flourish. Sanjana has a diverse set of interests. She has been part of the literary team, and a student formula racing team. Currently, she is a member of the aeromodelling team for her college. After having concluded that working collaboratively with her peers has greatly enriched her learning experience, she strives to bring this to other students. There are students eager to learn new things and there are also students eager to teach what they know to others. There are a few student clubs on campus that exist, but are not functional. We need to revive these clubs so that they can start organising competitions and workshops for students. Apart from this, we need to identify students from every branch who have good knowledge about their field and can teach other students. They will form the core team of the community. Then we can organise meetups for interested students on selected topics every weekend (say, Saturdays) where students can meet and discuss concepts and ideas. This will lead to greater interaction between students, and creating a conducive environment for innovation. Under this community, we can also have a group of students who work on larger, long-term projects that will help the college. Currently, we rely on third-parties for several software solutions. These groups focused on projects can elect a faculty member who can guide them. To ensure greater participation of students, we will require bus facilities on the weekends. Also, having a space where such sessions can be conducted is essential. Teams involved in cultural activities like art, drama and music can also be involved in this community and have events for students who may want to learn from them.</span></span>

“CREATING  A  JOB  IS  BETTER  THAN  FINDING  ONE”

Encouraging  entrepreneurship  on the campus is a challenging and significant task . The following reasons are broadly the hindrances due to which students  are not involved in entrepreneurship :

1)      Conventional mindset of the students  - to get a secured job right after graduation;

2)      Lack of awareness  and interest in the process and concept of entrepreneurship;

3)      Not coming out of the comfort zones of a lucrative job and no risk –taking capability for becoming an entrepreneur, etc.

The following tactics are the ways through entrepreneurship has to  be encouraged among the students in the campus :

Apart from subjects related to their core branches, there are subjects such as Management and Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking which have been introduced quite recently. Students are exposed to ways of thinking innovatively. Events on innovation keep happening in the form of technical fests like Avalanche, and students also participate in competitions organised by the Government of India and other entities. We have a Department of Management Studies that offers a major in entrepreneurship. There are a few clubs like the Programmers Club and the </span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Entrepreneurship Development Programme which promote innovative thinking among students. Hackathons organised by the New Age Incubation Network (NAIN) help to identify potential student projects that can be funded by the Government of Karnataka. Students are encouraged towards innovative thinking through mini projects that they have every semester. In addition to this, every branch has a Design Thinking course for a semester in which students have to individually come up with a prototype that solves a unique problem. We have the Industry-Institute Partnership Cell which has facilities like Flexible Manufacturing System, Rapid Prototyping Machine, Coordinate Manufacturing Machine and Surface Roughness Machine, which can be used by students who have undertaken some projects, and also by the industry to train new recruits from the college. The NAIN Incubation Centre has all the facilities conducive to start start-ups by students. Extracurricular teams for the SAE competitions encourage students to think differently, come up with their own ideas for problems that have constraints, and market their creation at the end. The Computer Science and Engineering department has industry partnerships to provide internships to students. The Mechanical Department has a tie-up with Quest Global to provide CAD/CAM training to students. In addition to this, there is the Tata Technologies Ready Engineer program. Start Ups in the IT Incubation centre also provide internships to students.</span></span>

We have the presence of some faculty who are passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship and transfer this to the students as well. The key people involved in the administration of the college - like the Principal and Dean Research and Development are closely tied with and have a special interest in entrepreneurship and never fail to bring to the students’ attention the opportunities that exist.</span></span>

<span id="docs-internal-guid-8b5142b5-a78e-a9ef-b79f-2440d74101da"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); background-color: rgb(249, 249, 249); vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Every department in the college has  a Board of Studies, which consists not only of senior professors of the department, but also experts from the industry. Therefore, industry involvement starts right from the design of the curriculum. In the city, we have an incubator called Sandbox Startups at our sister institute KLS Institute of Management Education and Research. In the IT Incubation Center in our college itself, provides start-ups with an address and takes no fees for the first six months. Startup India, an initiative by the Government of India, provides 75% of patent filing fee and 100% of company registration fees. We also have faculty who are members of The Indus Entrepreneurs, and through this network they help to bring in entrepreneurs to interact with students.</span></span>

She is a part of a leadership circle of four fellows at her college who are passionate about improving and enhancing the educational experience for all students. [[File:SanjanaBaliga.JPG|thumb]]</div><div><br/></div><div>Her journey at college so far has been a roller coaster ride of sorts. In her first year, Sanjana was bound only to academics and did not explore the possibilities beyond the curriculum. Needless to say, this left her wanting more. In her second year at college, she resolved to look out for opportunities and realized that her college provided a conducive environment for teams to flourish. Sanjana has a diverse set of interests. She has been part of the literary team, and a student formula racing team. Currently, she is a member of the aeromodelling team for her college. After having concluded that working collaboratively with her peers has greatly enriched her learning experience, she strives to bring this to other students. Because the teams in her college have rigorous selection procedures, being open only to a select few students, she is looking forward to creating an environment that encourages the formation of clubs that are accessible to all - beginners to experts.</div><div><br/></div><div>Sanjana takes a keen interest in all things science, and is fascinated by the power of technology today. Sanjana Gombi is a candidate of University Innovation Fellowship Program. She is pursuing BE in Computer Science at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi. After choosing engineering as her career, Sanjana has been involved in a lot of technical and social clubs for encouraging the students to develop skills in the field of their interest. Sanjana aims to become an agent of change to required improvements in the campus ecosystem through UIF program.
<div><br/></div><div>She thinks that an entrepreneurial mindset is something that is extremely important in this day and age and that she will use the same passion to instrument change in the society.</div><div><br/></div><div>Sanjana was awarded as the ‘ Student of the Year’ during her Pre Univesity days for her contribution in college activities and her outstanding performance in academics. She also worked as an editor for the same college for 2 years. Currently Sanjana is an editor at Rotaract Club ofGIT, an active member of Literary club and Association of Computer Engineers. He is a Student Exchange Delegate and has represented India at Tokyo, Japan under Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, for the Students Exchange Program - JENESYS, 2011 (JAPAN EAST ASIA NETWOIRK OF EXCHANGE OF STUDENTS AND YOUTHS). He pursues  Major in Political Science from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, India. He is a Flying Cadet of Air Wing  Squadron of National Cadet Coprs (NCC) – 8 KAR AIR SQN NCC. He is honored with ‘YUVA CHETANA AWARD 2016 – Warriors of Change’ in National Level Consistent Category by Youth For Seva (service), for his contribution and work in social sector. 

He has represented the state of Karnataka and commanded the NSS Karanataka Contingent at the prestigious Republic  Day (RD) Parade on 26<sup>th</sup> January, 2016. He currently serves as University Student Coordinator of National Service Scheme (NSS) of Visvesvaraya Technological University, under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.  He serves as the District Head of STUDENTS FOR DEVELOPMENT (SFD) of Belagavi District under AKHIL BHARATIYA VIDYARTHI PARISHAD (ABVP) – the world’s largest student organization. He is the Co – Founder of students NGO – UMEED (Hope).  He is the Student Coordinator of ‘Forum For Integrated and National Security’ (FINS), Belagavi Chapter and serves as the Steering Committee Member of  ‘Youth For Seva’ (YFS), Belagavi Chapter. He has collaborated with his team to innovate  “D.H.A.R.A” – ‘Device for Health monitoring And Rejuvination of Agriculture’, which conducts real-time and portable soil-testing process and gives weather and soil updates to the farmers, in real –time on their cellphones.

Being a social crusader and public speaker, his passion lies in consistently working for the student community and the society. A true patriot at heart and strong believer in the Indian Culture and value system, he strives with a single point agenda to be An Agent of Change to ‘Make A Difference’.

We need to revive these clubs so that they can start organising competitions and workshops for students. Apart from this, we need to identify students from every branch who have good knowledge about their field and can teach other students. They will form the core team of the community. Then we can organise meetups for interested students on selected topics every weekend (say, Saturdays) where students can meet and discuss concepts and ideas. This will lead to greater interaction between students, and creating a conducive environment for innovation. Under this community, we can also have a group of students who work on larger, long-term projects that will help the college. Currently, we rely on third-parties for several software solutions. These groups focused on projects can elect a faculty member who can guide them. To ensure greater participation of students, we will require bus facilities on the weekends. Also, having a space where such sessions can be conducted is essential. Teams involved in cultural activities like art, drama and music can also be involved in this community and have events for students who may want to learn from them.</span></span>

“CREATING  A  JOB  IS  BETTER  THAN  FINDING  ONE”

Encouraging  entrepreneurship  on the campus is a challenging and significant task . The following reasons are broadly the hindrances due to which students  are not involved in entrepreneurship :

1)      Conventional mindset of the students  - to get a secured job right after graduation;

2)      Lack of awareness  and interest in the process and concept of entrepreneurship;

3)      Not coming out of the comfort zones of a lucrative job and no risk –taking capability for becoming an entrepreneur, etc.

The following tactics are the ways through entrepreneurship has to  be encouraged among the students in the campus :

Tactic  #1 :  Encouraging Start – Ups  and  extensively promoting  new concepts  like – “ONE BATCH – ONE START-UP”

Tactic  #2 :  Working on unfinished projects/ potential  ideas or concepts left out by the passed out final year students

Tactic  #3 :  Encouraging Inter – Disciplinary project groups.

Tactic  #4  :  Industrial Visits should be organized twice a month.

Tactic  #6  :  Implementing ‘Design Thinking as a Core- Subject’

“CREATING  A  JOB  IS  BETTER  THAN  FINDING  ONE”

Encouraging  entrepreneurship  on the campus is a challenging and significant task . The following reasons are broadly the hindrances due to which students  are not involved in entrepreneurship :

1)      Conventional mindset of the students  - to get a secured job right after graduation;

2)      Lack of awareness  and interest in the process and concept of entrepreneurship;

3)      Not coming out of the comfort zones of a lucrative job and no risk –taking capability for becoming an entrepreneur, etc.

The following tactics are the ways through entrepreneurship has to  be encouraged among the students in the campus :

Tactic  #1 :  Encouraging Start – Ups  and  extensively promoting  new concepts  like – “ONE BATCH – ONE START-UP”

Tactic  #2 :  Working on unfinished projects/ potential  ideas or concepts left out by the passed out final year students

Tactic  #3 :  Encouraging Inter – Disciplinary project groups.

Tactic  #4  :  Industrial Visits should be organized twice a month.

 Tactic  #5 :  Organizing workshops on Marketing skills

Tactic  #6  :  Implementing ‘Design Thinking as a Core- Subject’

Tactic  #7 :  Creating awareness and spreading the information about various available modes of funding for the Start – Ups like – government schemes                     like StandUp India, StartUp India, New Age Incubation Network (NAIN), etc.

Then we can organise meetups for interested students on selected topics every weekend (say, Saturdays) where students can meet and discuss concepts and ideas. This will lead to greater interaction between students, and creating a conducive environment for innovation. Under this community, we can also have a group of students who work on larger, long-term projects that will help the college. Currently, we rely on third-parties for several software solutions. These groups focused on projects can elect a faculty member who can guide them. To ensure greater participation of students, we will require bus facilities on the weekends. Also, having a space where such sessions can be conducted is essential. Teams involved in cultural activities like art, drama and music can also be involved in this community and have events for students who may want to learn from them.</span></span>

<span style="font-size:larger;">Sagar Shinde is pursuing a bachlor’s degree in computer science and engineering. He is a candidate for University Innovation Fellowship program where he is representing KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, India. Sagar is passionate about entrepreneurship and he has  pitched  ideas  at  business plan competitions. He is also associated with various innovation and entrepreneurship activities happening in his city and is also a member of aeromodelling team of his college. He is good at debate, quiz and has also travelled to different places to attend hackathons.</span>

<span style="font-size:larger;">He is a  member of  LEAD (LEaders Accelerating Development), an organization which fosters innovative and entrepreneurial thinking within college students through community service. Sagar considers University Innovation Fellowship program as a opportunity to spread the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among the students at his campus.</span>
