==Bio==
Rianne is currently a student at the University of Twente, where she is in her first year of the Master Biomedical Engineering. Prior to this she attained her Bachelor's degree in Technical Medicine.

Since her start at the University of Twente, she has been active at the University's basketball association taking part in several committees, being the trainer of the recreational team and doing a parttime board year as match secretary of the association. In the past year (2019-2020) Rianne was responsible for the Public Relations of the Business Days Twente, a career event that welcomes more than 150 companies and 3000+ students to interact together and make connections useful for later career opportunities during all sorts of networking activities.

Having lived part of her childhood in the USA and traveling whenever she can, she loves to discover new cultures and meet people from all over the world. Besides this, her passion is organising events where she can bring people together and working together with like-minded people to find innovative and out-of-the-box solutions and ideas.

Founded in 1961 it now holds an approximate of 11.000 students. Originating as a technical university its motto “High Tech, Human Touch” describes how the university connects cutting edge technologies with society.The university is located in Twente, the most entrepreneurial region of the Netherlands, with approximately 140 new start-ups in the region every year. With a Science and Business park across the road and lots of I&E resources, the University of Twente has a lot to offer to those willing to create a business.In the past couple of years the University of Twente already went through some educational changes in favor of innovation and entrepreneurship. Its new Twents Education Model (T.E.M.) revolves around a multidisciplinary, project-based approach. One of the big strengths of the university is its student-driven activism, where student-driven organizations organize and arrange all sorts of things for their fellow students.The University of Twente is part of the University Innovations Fellows program since Fall 2016. It is the first university in the Netherlands and Europe participating in the program.

[[File:UTOverview2.jpg]]The University of Twente is located in Europe in the city Enschede, The Netherlands. Founded in 1961 it now holds an approximate of 11.000 students. Originating as a technical university its motto “High Tech, Human Touch” describes how the university connects cutting edge technologies with society.The university is located in Twente, the most entrepreneurial region of the Netherlands, with approximately 140 new start-ups in the region every year. With a Science and Business park across the road and lots of I&E resources, the University of Twente has a lot to offer to those willing to create a business.In the past couple of years the University of Twente already went through some educational changes in favor of innovation and entrepreneurship. Its new Twents Education Model (T.E.M.) revolves around a multidisciplinary, project-based approach. One of the big strengths of the university is its student-driven activism, where student-driven organizations organize and arrange all sorts of things for their fellow students.The University of Twente is part of the University Innovations Fellows program since Fall 2016. It is the first university in the Netherlands and Europe participating in the program.

The University of Twente provides everything a student may desire to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship. Starting with their first steps on campus, the students come into contact with the vibrant activities off and on campus.

Thank you guys for an amazing "How To" guide! Your information is really useful and sums up the most important steps and aspects!

A possible addition could be to include communication. Organizing a big event with loads of engaged and motivated people makes communicating transparently difficult and should be laid emphasis on. Thus, keeping volunteers informed easily through slack or another chat system not only allows you to keep everyone updated but also to quickly be notified about recent changes you have to adapt to.

Personally, I also like to create a timeline prior to the event and hang it up in the office (or virtually, of course). This enables all teammates to have an overview of the next steps at any point in time :) Furthermore, you can use this after the event to improve time management skills by evaluating the planned and actual time.

I really enjoyed reading your 'How to' guide! I especially agree with the part about how important it is to ask for feedback during (and before and after) the event from people that went to the event or helped. In this way next editions can continue to improve the layout of the event. From personal experience I've noticed that during new editions of events situations could sometimes have been prevented if the transfer of information about previous events had been executed better and more precisely. Therefore it could be a good idea to sit down with possible predecessors and listen to their tips and tricks before the real organizing begins for the committee.

==Bio==
Rianne is currently a student at the University of Twente, where she is in her first year of the Master Biomedical Engineering. Prior to this she attained her Bachelor's degree in Technical Medicine.

Since her start at the University of Twente, she has been active at the University's basketball association taking part in several committees, being the trainer of the recreational team and doing a parttime board year as match secretary of the association. In the past year (2019-2020) Rianne was responsible for the Public Relations of the Bedrijvendagen Twente, a career event that welcomes more than 150 companies and 3000+ students to interact together and make connections useful for later career opportunities during all sorts of networking activities.

Having lived part of her childhood in the USA and traveling whenever she can, she loves to discover new cultures and meet people from all over the world. Besides this, her passion is organising events where she can bring people together and working together with like-minded people to find innovative and out-of-the-box solutions and ideas.
