PVPSIT provides a wide range of educational facilities for the students to nurture their young brains not only in the academics but also in their mental and personality development. It not only helps the students to grow in their academics but also designed various courses, extracurricular and co-curricular activities which improve innovation and entrepreneurship . The institution also encourages the students to participate in various extracurricular and co-curricular activities . They believe that academics only doesn’t provide the total amenities required for the students but innovation and extra-curricular and co-curricular makes a huge impact.

=ENCOURAGING FACULTY INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP=
The Faculty in the PVPSIT are also encouraged in innovation and entrepreneurship . They are encouraged to attend workshops, seminars etc and later share their learning experience and with other faculty as well as students. Research, idea generation and paper presentation are given priority. The main idea is to improve the faculty experience and encourage them to learn new things and come up with solutions for the problems.

Institute promotes research and innovation through Research and Development Cell (R&D cell)[http://pvpsit.ac.in/research.html]. As a part of this cell faculty members publish quality research papers and patents.

Faculty members are encouraged to develop models that are useful for the society.

=ACTIVELY SUPPORTING THE UNIVERSITY TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER FUNCTION=
PVPSIT took a step ahead on actively supporting the university technology transfer function through Entrepreneur Development Cell, Institution’s Innovation cell. they provide the opportunity for the students and faculty to learn about entrepreneurship and many guest lectures, seminars, webinars and workshops were organized for the students to inculcate the importance of entrepreneurship and innovation which will be an era for the innovation and prototyping the ideas college wide. There is Invention and Innovation cell for departments and many students are a part of it. A weekly meet with the students in order to know about the progress of their projects with the faculty in needed the faculty will provide further assistance with great patience

=FACILITATING UNIVERSITY-INDUSTRY COLLABORATION=
The PVPSIT collaborates with the industries and works to spread the ideas of the students. The institution supports its students and provides them with a variety of opportunities, such as assistance with the technology needed for their startup ideas. PVPSIT collaborates with a variety of industries to provide internships, placements, faculty development, and student training. Alumni who are currently employed in the field , train students and offer guest lectures to improve the skills of the students. Additionally, industry professionals guides the students to know the current technologies in the industries . The college has been active in terms of putting efforts to improve the regional and local economy. The basic thing to have good economy is to make sure the people are healthy and are educated to the level where they can understand the basic technology in today’s society. So a lot of awareness programs, health camps and education drives are conducted over the years by the Student and faculty of our college to teach them a better way of living. The importance of education for young children, the basics of a computer and so many other things are thought by the students. To enhance innovation and entrepreneurship in a institution the participation of students in those activities is very important .So to engage the students in such activities we need to organize Awareness sessions that teaches the students to know what is the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship in their life . There is a need to identify their strengths and weaknesses which make them understand and focus more on improvements according to their needs .

Offering basic courses related to entrepreneurship in the initial stages of their graduation courses make them to learn the why and what is the importance of entrepreneurship . After acquiring the basic knowledge required to entrepreneurship if they are interested they can move further and do masters in business administration or they can build a start-up according to their priorities .

==Strategy 3 : Building Projects and converting it into a business plan==
Innovation is all about practical knowledge , So to make their learning more practically students need to build projects models . After the completion of developing a project they themselves can organize a project expo and they can convert their ideas into business . This instill confidence in the students .

Technology Transfer Office is defined as an organization, such as a non- profit organization or a foundation, or a division or department, of a Research Member that engages in transferring technology on behalf of the Research Member

The Technology Transfer Office, also known as the License Office or Patent Office, plays a role in commercializing university inventions. Together with the entire team of staff and faculty, these professionals work to find techniques that carry the potential to provide financial returns.

Activities performed by TTO of Office of Technology Transfer

1. TTO works with attorneys for securing patent and other intellectual property rights

2. Tech transfer professionals assess the commercial potential of new inventions

3. Technology transfer professionals’ market available technologies to potential licensees and partners,

4. TTO educates researchers about commercialization principles and strategies

5. TTO assists with faculty start-up creation and development

6. Technology transfer professionals secure funding for early-stage research and start-ups

7. Tech transfers involve negotiating partnerships and license agreements

8. TTO organizes business plan and start-up competitions

9. Technology transfer helps in building innovation ecosystems and support structures that promote innovation and economic development

10. TTO is involved in creating programs that encourage both students and faculty to innovate in labs and maker spaces, so entrepreneurial engagement occurs in a manner that those technologies and innovations can come in the market place

===Why TTO for our institution?===
This office will be like the extension part of the innovation and entrepreneurship cells. This office is also like a surety for the young minds that their idea can become big with the helps of this office.

We know that the Siddhartha academy is very big organization and it has many institutes under it. So if student from one institute can innovate many great things, just imagine if all the institutes under the Siddhartha academy share their knowledge, technology and experience. It will be a whole revolution. It will be a huge game changer for both the students and the faculty which in turn develops all the institutes.

The Siddhartha Academy has around 23 institutes under it in various fields that include Arts, Medical, Business, hotel management, law, engineering and many more.

Let us say if the medical college has a problem about participation in their blood donation camps or a health camp. The engineering college students can build an app where they can stay informed about the health camps and clear their queries.

Like this colleges can not only help the public with their products but they can also help each other and grow. The number of innovators and entrepreneurs will increase and will be from our institutions.

This will also increase the reputation and the standards of all the Siddhartha institutions. If this becomes a success then the Siddhartha academy becomes one of the leading educational foundations in the country.

HOW TO ESTABLISH A TECH TRANSFER OFFICE:

1. Analyze and prioritize the patent portfolio and other internal intellectual property (IP) “inventories” and capabilities to understand what your institution has to offer the outside world.

2. Analyze your R&D investments to understand the challenges your institution faces.

Note: So, #1 is what you have and #2 is what you need. And these are important steps, regardless of whether you’re a university, a company, or a government lab so that you can leverage both sides of innovation. Now let’s get back to our list.

3. Conduct market research to identify who has what you need and who needs what you have—you’re looking for the intersection of technologies and needs.

4. Develop a project plan for pursuing collaborative partnerships and licenses with the organizations that show up on both lists—and where you’re most likely to have success that maximizes value to the institution. (The NASA Massively Multiplayer Online Game Moonbase Alpha is an example of this type of success.)

5. Secure internal buy-in from the key personnel involved in the specific opportunity. You need to have the buy-in of the inventors of innovations you’re trying to out-license

As an avid listener to TEDTalks podcasts, I am amazed that a student-led initiative brought a TEDx event to the university setting. Spoken word is very powerful, and to add to the author's point there is benefit to having shorter talks that leave the audience contemplating the mental stimulation they experienced instead of dosing off during a longer deliberation. I would be interested to see how the format of a TEDx Talk on campus would change amidst a global pandemic.

When I read this, I imagined what it would be like for our campus to host a TEDx talk and how that would look. This is such a fantastic way to bring people out of the community to talk about ideas worth spreading.

Really enjoyable and inspiring topic to read. Personally, after reading this text it showed me not to scared to start new events .

I always wondered how different colleges were able to host TEDx talks on their campus, my school hosted one last year. I think this is a great way to hear really interesting stories from people on campus and give people a chance to discuss new ideas and perfect their public speaking.

I found this topic very interesting and exciting! The idea of bringing TEDx to a college campus through student effort is very impressive. The topic made me look up whether my school had a TEDx and made me start thinking about how TEDx could occur in a virtual setting and how it could help bring people together. Definitely made me think, which I really appreciate!

As a big fan of TED talks myself I love to hear about so many inspirational ideas. So I thought how special it would be to organize such a TEDx event on our campus and hear about ideas from people from our university. Additionally it would be fun to organize and you would meet many students, faculty members,... with inspiring ideas. Good to know is that it took about 3/4 year to organize and that it might take time and frustration until you get the TEDx event license.

I really didn't know one is able to organise TEDx talks themselves. Thanks for the insight and bringing the attention this. It is a really awesome idea to plan our own one, even if it takes so long! This could also be ONE way to honour outstanding achievements at university.

This is a great read and a fantastic guide for people wanting to host a TEDx event. The steps were precise and straightforward as to how to make the event possible and interesting for everyone involved in the process.

I admire TEDx a lot and used to think how nicely people share their life journey over there but came to know the unknown story of how people approach to speak in the TEDx dice. And came to know how people get trained to speak confidently in the TEDX.
I felt great to read this topic on TEDx. So I too want to see myself as a story teller in TEDx and will try to set it in my school.

==Bio==
Hello! I am P.N.Raghavendra. I was born and raised in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. I completed my schooling in STBEM high school(2006-2018) in Vijayawada. Later I also completed my intermediate education in Sarada Educational Institutions(2018-2020). I am currently pursuing my bachelor's in computer science and engineering in Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institution of Technology. I am a person who believes in myself. I always like to explore the new things in the world. I truly believe that family and true friends stay with us a long time. My hobbies are watching movies, tv shows, animation, playing sports, trying to learn new things. I am still trying to find more hobbies that I love to do. Mostly I like to travel a lot and do most adventurous things in my life. I like to ride bikes and two wheelers always excite me the most. My weaknesses are being an introvert and stage fearing. I want to make my parents happy and proud. My goal is to become so rich that I don’t want my parents to think about the price tag when they buy something.

I got 2nd prize in swimming competitions. I participated in various sports activities in school and college. I also learned Karate. I actively participate in events and fests.
