Chisom Okafor is an undergraduate studying mechanical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Hewas born and raised in Nigeria where he has lived all his life. Chisom came to the United states in the fall of 2015 to pursue a college degree. It was in college that he was introduced to the University innovation Fellow program where he's currently undergoing training to become a University Innovation Fellow. Chisom's is involved in a number of clubs and activities in school. A few are: Black Students Union (where he's the secretary), Club Soccer, Society of Automotive Engineers. A few of his interests include: cars, sports (soccer, basketball etc.), traveling, and music instruments. But most importantly he loves meeting new people from various backgrounds and learning from them (their experiences and wisdom). One of his favorite quotes " Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty but anyone who keeps learning stays young; the greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young" Henry Ford

As a teenager, Marouane was granted a full scholarship from the U.S Department of State under the Kennedy-Lugar YES program to be an Ambassador for Moroccan youth and culture in the U.S for an academic year. During his stay in America, he nurtured a passion for community service and exploring world cultures.

After his inspirational YES Program experience in Tucson, Arizona in 2007-2008, Marouane attended Ibn Zohr University in Agadir, Morocco where he obtained a Technical degree and bachelor's in Marketing and Management. For graduate studies, he was admitted to a highly selective Business School in Morocco (ENCG Agadir) where he earned a graduate degree in Marketing & Sales Operations (summa cum laude) in June 2014.

As a university student, Marouane was selected by Google to be a Google Student Ambassador at his university and served as class president in three schools for his undergraduate and graduate classes.In 2013, he joined Dar Si Hmad, a development NGO operating in southwest Morocco. Marouane started as a communication manager and developed an interest for project management and using technology to augment productivity and to solve development issues. He was promoted to project manager in 2014 and again to office manager in 2015 and contributed to building Dar Si Hmad'sinnovative development programs until June 2016.

In 2016, Marouane received a Fulbright grant to pursue a Master of Business Administration at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in central Massachusetts, USA. During his Fulbright journey in the U.S, Marouane aims to further his knowledge of project management, organizational behavior and innovative use of ICT. He is currently a candidate for the UIF program and aims to achieve significant results pertaining to innovation and entrepreneurship at WPI in collaboration with his leadership circle.

<div>As a teenager, Marouane was granted a full scholarship from the U.S Department of State under the Kennedy-Lugar YES program to be an Ambassador for Moroccan youth and culture in the U.S for an academic year. During his stay in America, he nurtured a passion for community service and exploring world cultures. </div><div> </div><div>After his inspirational YES Program experience in Tucson, Arizona in 2007-2008, Marouane attended Ibn Zohr University in Agadir where he obtained a Technical degree and bachelor's in Marketing and Management. For graduate studies, he was admitted to a highly selective Business School (ENCG Agadir) where he earned a graduate degree in Marketing & Sales Operations (summa cum laude) in June 2014. </div><div> </div><div>As a university student, Marouane was selected by Google to be a Google Student Ambassador at his university and served as class president in three schools for his undergraduate and graduate classes.In 2013, he joined Dar Si Hmad, a development NGO operating in southwest Morocco. Marouane started as a communication manager and developed an interest forproject management and using technology to augment productivity and to solve development issues. He was promoted to project manager in 2014 and again to office manager in 2015 and contributed to building Dar Si Hmad'sinnovative development programs until June 2016. </div><div> </div><div>In 2016, Marouane received a Fulbright grant to pursue a Master of Business Administration at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in central Massachusetts, USA. Fellows who want to be true agents of change will be able to utilize this guide to promote profitable business ideas which help their school, community, and the world by making impactful emotional, physical, and environmental differences.

== Social Entrepreneurship ==

Social entrepreneurship (SE) is a concept that refers to a for-profit company with a central and clear social mission. Although the definition and concept of SE are being shaped continuously, the core belief is to contribute to solving issues in the society while generating profit.

Purely entrepreneurial startups prioritize reaching a high potential for growth in the future in an increasingly competitive environment. In contrast, SE startups prioritize remedying a social issue locally or worldwide, whether it pertains to helping the homeless, conservation efforts, or promoting equal rights, by offering relevant products and services.

Over the last decade, several initiatives have been created to elevate social entrepreneurship initiatives. For instance, B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit [http://www.bcorporation.net B Lab] to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. As of today, there are 2,003 B corps in 50 countries (B lab, 2017). Joining the B corps community enables companies to have access to an extended network of like-minded companies with whom they can share best-practices. The certification also contributes to the company's marketing efforts by attracting customers, prospective employees, and partners who embody similar values.

The startup is valued very highly but its focus is making clothing out of processed plastic bottles. The clothes are made out of raw material collected from the streets. The company is a green printing company offering environmentally friendly printing services to its customers from initial concept to final delivery and distribution.
