Kamal Nimmagadda is a first year computer science student in RVR & JC College Of Engineering. He is a very enthusiastic and anxious person always willing to learn new things. He is going to start his research on brain-computer interfacing after his graduation and is currently gathering all the requirements for the same. His strengths include his confidence and patience. He truly believes that one can achieve anything provided he put the necessary effort.

Apart from his education, Kamal is a sportsperson and represented his high school at various events. He also had training in dancing and martial arts. In order to overcome all the hurdles and improve the productivity of our college. We have designed a study approach and listed out things that are needed in order to produce an overall improvement in the campus

== Strategy #1: To Bring Awareness among Students and Faculty ==

Lack of awareness is obviously the major cause for any problem we come across in our life. So, we decided to start from clearing it. We thought bringing awareness will eventually create interest and help in an individuals development. These are the strategies we thought of could help bring about awareness among students and faculty

*Conducting workshops to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the campus.
*Reaching out to friends and acquaintances and explaining the importance of I&E.
*Providing place where one can freely express their ideas and plans.

== Strategy #2: Allowing Interdisciplinary Collaboration ==

We cannot provide the most efficient output when we leave out some variables. Only when we combine all the ideas can we put forward the most suitable solution for any given problem. In case of engineering, we are separated by our discipline. So, a engineer can provide a perfect output when he can think beyond departmental boundaries. Such thinking ability can be brought about by

*Conducting events and competitions that go beyond those boundaries.
*Starting clubs that promote and provide space for innovative developments.

== Strategy #3: Research Promotion and Skill Development ==

We firmly believe that doing is way better than learning. If we are able to create interest within student to follow their interests and wok on them, they will be able to excell in any field. To create such interest and to provide them with skills required, we are planning to

*encourage students to go on internship programs and providing credits for doing so.
*Allowing students to have more wet lab space.

This not only improves their skill but also acts as a accelerant for their thoughts. They may find their field of interest and start working on it. Thus, it helps in promoting research and development in the campus.

== Strategy #4: Encouraging Entrepreneurship and Support Marketing ==

Students can be more co-operative and productive when they know that the institution is supporting any positive idea they have in mind. So, we are providing a platform where not only can students present and prototype their ideas but can also patent and market their products. This can be achieved by

*Providing financial support for research and entrepreneurial projects.
*Providing a business space to market their research and/or product or prototype and inviting various companies to present their view on the project.
*Providing guidance and training to students to follow their interests.

The R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering, Chowdavaram, Guntur trains undergraduate and postgraduate students in Engineering and Management for award of degree from Acharya Nagarjuna University.

Established by the renowned Nagarjuna Education Society (1967) in the year 1985, the College drew its initial impetus from Peoples Representatives, local doctors, charitable trusts and commercial houses of Guntur District,Andhra Pradesh.  Today, it enjoys flagship status among the eight constituent institutions, that are governed by Nagarjuna Education Society.  The founder-members of Nagarjuna Education Society and their successors have provided abundant inputs to turn a mere 3-course-180-intake College into a 14-course-1200-intake edifice by the Silver Jubilee Year.

Training the students beyond the defined borders of the curriculum is a basic emphasis, the college dearly practices.  The College practices the modesty of looking for new starting lines than be content with the finishing lines reached.  The Mission Statement proposed by our Management and staff accommodates the new paradigm – “Education for total transformation” with a commitment for excellence in all that we do.  The keywords “professional knowledge and skills”, “honourable living” and “social and economic contribution” speak of the strategy of the college in training people. We admit, we have miles and miles to go before we complete our mission.

== PROMOTING STUDENT ENTREPRENEURSHIP ==

The culture of our institution is a shared system of values, beliefs and attitudes that shapes and enhances our behaviour. The primary focus is not only to educate the students but to inspire them to become innovative and contribute to the society.

Our institution has Entrepreneurship Management Development Cell (EMDC) which was set-up with the assistance of A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi, to promote and educate young students to take the benefit of the policies of the government by establishing their own ventures. The cell organizes different activities and events to inculcate Entrepreneurial Spirit among the Science & Technology students.

The mission is to promote entrepreneurship-led innovation, thereby creating "nation of entrepreneurs" driven by creativity, initiative, risk taking, discipline, and personal development.

== FACULTY INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP ==

The faculty inspire us and direct all we do academically and deliver the administrative services. They enhance the students to move on the innovation path. A Committee of Research and Development  (R & D) Cell was formed on 7 June 2012  to motivate and provide necessary guidance to all the faculty members. It is organised by certain selected faculty members of our institution. It motivates faculty to pursue their research activities and helps to publish the research papers in reputed Peer Reviewed Journals of at least 10 years standing. The committee of Research and Development meets regularly to review the progress of its activities in the college.

== UNIVERSITY TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER FUNCTION ==

Our institution has Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) which helps in funding for students and faculty to accomplish their projects. We also have a TechClub on our campus where students can express their innovative ideas and exhibit their technical skills.

The R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering, Chowdavaram, Guntur trains undergraduate and postgraduate students in Engineering and Management for award of degree from Acharya Nagarjuna University.

Established by the renowned Nagarjuna Education Society (1967) in the year 1985, the College drew its initial impetus from Peoples Representatives, local doctors, charitable trusts and commercial houses of Guntur District,Andhra Pradesh.  Today, it enjoys flagship status among the eight constituent institutions, that are governed by Nagarjuna Education Society.  The founder-members of Nagarjuna Education Society and their successors have provided abundant inputs to turn a mere 3-course-180-intake College into a 14-course-1200-intake edifice by the Silver Jubilee Year.

Training the students beyond the defined borders of the curriculum is a basic emphasis, the college dearly practices.  The College practices the modesty of looking for new starting lines than be content with the finishing lines reached.  The Mission Statement proposed by our Management and staff accommodates the new paradigm – “Education for total transformation” with a commitment for excellence in all that we do.  The keywords “professional knowledge and skills”, “honourable living” and “social and economic contribution” speak of the strategy of the college in training people. We admit, we have miles and miles to go before we complete our mission.

The culture of our institution is a shared system of values, beliefs and attitudes that shapes and enhances our behaviour. The primary focus is not only to educate the students but to inspire them to become innovative and contribute to the society.

Our institution has Entrepreneurship Management Development Cell (EMDC) which was set-up with the assistance of A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi, to promote and educate young students to take the benefit of the policies of the government by establishing their own ventures. The cell organizes different activities and events to inculcate Entrepreneurial Spirit among the Science & Technology students.

The mission is to promote entrepreneurship-led innovation, thereby creating "nation of entrepreneurs" driven by creativity, initiative, risk taking, discipline, and personal development.

== FACULTY INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP ==

The faculty inspire us and direct all we do academically and deliver the administrative services. They enhance the students to move on the innovation path. A Committee of Research and Development  (R & D) Cell was formed on 7 June 2012  to motivate and provide necessary guidance to all the faculty members. It is organised by certain selected faculty members of our institution. It motivates faculty to pursue their research activities and helps to publish the research papers in reputed Peer Reviewed Journals of at least 10 years standing. The committee of Research and Development meets regularly to review the progress of its activities in the college.

== UNIVERSITY TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER FUNCTION ==

Our institution has Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) which helps in funding for students and faculty to accomplish their projects. We also have a TechClub on our campus where students can express their innovative ideas and exhibit their technical skills.

Lack of awareness is obviously the major cause for any problem we come across in our life. So, we decided to start from clearing it. We thought bringing awareness will eventually create interest and help in an individuals development. These are the strategies we thought of could help bring about awareness among students and faculty

*Conducting workshops to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the campus.
*Reaching out to friends and acquaintances and explaining the importance of I&E.
*Providing place where one can freely express their ideas and plans.

== Strategy #2: Allowing Interdisciplinary Collaboration ==

We cannot provide the most efficient output when we leave out some variables. Only when we combine all the ideas can we put forward the most suitable solution for any given problem. In case of engineering, we are separated by our discipline. So, a engineer can provide a perfect output when he can think beyond departmental boundaries. Such thinking ability can be brought about by

*Conducting events and competitions that go beyond those boundaries.
*Starting clubs that promote and provide space for innovative developments.

We firmly believe that doing is way better than learning. If we are able to create interest within student to follow their interests and wok on them, they will be able to excell in any field. To create such interest and to provide them with skills required, we are planning to

This not only improves their skill but also acts as a accelerant for their thoughts. They may find their field of interest and start working on it. Thus, it helps in promoting research and development in the campus.

It motivates faculty to pursue their research activities and helps to publish the research papers in reputed Peer Reviewed Journals of at least 10 years standing. The R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering, Chowdavaram, Guntur trains undergraduate and postgraduate students in Engineering and Management for award of degree from Acharya Nagarjuna University.

Established by the renowned Nagarjuna Education Society (1967) in the year 1985, the College drew its initial impetus from Peoples Representatives, local doctors, charitable trusts and commercial houses of Guntur District,Andhra Pradesh.  Today, it enjoys flagship status among the eight constituent institutions, that are governed by Nagarjuna Education Society.  The founder-members of Nagarjuna Education Society and their successors have provided abundant inputs to turn a mere 3-course-180-intake College into a 14-course-1200-intake edifice by the Silver Jubilee Year.

Training the students beyond the defined borders of the curriculum is a basic emphasis, the college dearly practices.  The College practices the modesty of looking for new starting lines than be content with the finishing lines reached.  The Mission Statement proposed by our Management and staff accommodates the new paradigm – “Education for total transformation” with a commitment for excellence in all that we do.  The keywords “professional knowledge and skills”, “honourable living” and “social and economic contribution” speak of the strategy of the college in training people. We admit, we have miles and miles to go before we complete our mission.

The culture of our institution is a shared system of values, beliefs and attitudes that shapes and enhances our behaviour. The primary focus is not only to educate the students but to inspire them to become innovative and contribute to the society.

Our institution has Entrepreneurship Management Development Cell (EMDC) which was set-up with the assistance of A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi, to promote and educate young students to take the benefit of the policies of the government by establishing their own ventures. The cell organizes different activities and events to inculcate Entrepreneurial Spirit among the Science & Technology students.

The mission is to promote entrepreneurship-led innovation, thereby creating "nation of entrepreneurs" driven by creativity, initiative, risk taking, discipline, and personal development.

== FACULTY INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP ==

The faculty inspire us and direct all we do academically and deliver the administrative services. They enhance the students to move on the innovation path. A Committee of Research and Development  (R & D) Cell was formed on 7 June 2012  to motivate and provide necessary guidance to all the faculty members. It is organised by certain selected faculty members of our institution. It motivates faculty to pursue their research activities and helps to publish the research papers in reputed Peer Reviewed Journals of at least 10 years standing. The committee of Research and Development meets regularly to review the progress of its activities in the college.

Our institution has Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) which helps in funding for students and faculty to accomplish their projects. We also have a TechClub on our campus where students can express their innovative ideas and exhibit their technical skills.
