Lisa is an Intelligence Analysis major with a concentration in Competiive intelligence, focusing in Computer Information Systems with a double minor in Telecommunications and Geograhic Science. She is a founding member of the Kappa Chapter of Epsilon Nu Tau, which the nations first and only entrepreneruship fraternity. She is also a founding member of the Iota Chi Chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma, which is a social sorority that has a philanthropy that is focused on education and college readiness. This philanthropy is one that Lisa is passionate about since she spends much of her free time volunteering at the Boys and Girls club in a mentor capacity and coaches girls youth soccer. She hopes to encourage young girls to enter the STEM field. On the weekends you can find her driving for SafeRides or hiking. One way that she likes to stay busy is to spend a day at the archery range. She has been shooting archery for almost 6 years now and in 2017 was the Virginia State Champion and recorder holder for her division.

Startup Commons is an organization that helps others facilitate a efficient enviroment for their startup. They aim to make the ecosystem of the startup organized and focused on "innovation, entrepreneruship, talen, finance, policy, and international connections". They have alot of experience assisting different government systems in diffrent parts of the world as well as 6 years of startup ecosystem research and develeopment. They have a good foundation to help others build their startups domestically and internationally. 

= Purpose =

Entreprenuership is a large of any economy and helps increase the amount of technological innovation that is happening - which they claim pushes societies forward. By allowing people a space in which to organize their ideas they help drive that desire to find solutions to today's problems for a better tomorrow. 

= Distinct Differences From Other Offerings =

This company has a wide range of skills and experience among the team. Many of them are entreprenerus themselves and have worked in government or economic development. Having this kind of foundation and network can be important when looking into a startup because sometimes it is about the people that you now. Also having an organized platform among the team that is attempting to do a startup will help them efficiently and effectively move forward.

The Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) is going on its eighth year and is run by the United States and the Repulic of India. It is a convention bringing together Innovators, Supporters, and entrepreneurs from all over the world to gather for two and a half days tof mentoring, network to investors, workshops, pitch ideas, secure funding, and find target consumers to make successful goods and services. This year the GES theme is highlighting woman to take their ideas to new hieghts, being called:''Women First, Prosperity for A''ll.

= Purpose  =

The purpose of GES is to empower those who are innovators seeking to come up with innovative ideas that will impact society and transform them in a positve way. With this opportunity the possiblilites are endless because there is not a specific idea people are looking for, it is all about what you create and cultivating ideas that could possibly make the world a better place. There will be a greater highlight on woman entrepreneurs and the role they take in transforming communities and making it more prosperous through enterprise.

= Distinct Differences From Other Offerings =

What is distinctly different about GES from other conventions is the emphasis it has on woman entrepreneurs and fostering innovation and a opportunity for all woman from around the world to gain connections and truly make changes in the world.

Students who are apart of GES will achieve multiple things from this, to include: networking opportunties, funding for projects they wish to carry out, learning experience and skills to push forward personal goals in each students life.

If more students utilize this convention, especially woman, we may find more of a drive for woman entrepreneurs to pursue a career in innovation and entrepreneurship. This is a prestigious convention that would be beneficial to anyone being offered the chance to attend.
