An alien from Jupiter, just landed on earth with a singular protocol: colonize earth.
An abrupt campaign to bring all earth settlers to his camp will get him lynched. If not, they'll prolly just view him mad and move on.

This could bring in more confidence in the student community to work on their innovation and help them to prioritise entrepreneurship alongside 9-5.

An in depth understanding of students strengths and weaknesses will help us understand and build curriculum according to their needs. It will help us realize where most students need help and also which parts they find easier, this will help us focus more towards the points of improvements and also build a stronger and more focused course.

==Strategy 2 : Instilling confidence in students with an idea and converting it into a business plan==

Helping students understand the step by step process of how I&E as a concept works will be a key contributor in this course. Helping students get the basics and foundations right will help them convert their ideas into reality. Also helping them convert their ideas into a business model and plan will instill confidence in them and give them ground to stand on.

==Strategy 3 : Reaching out to maximum students in college to promote I&E==

As we move into a world where things change on seconds, it is very important to ride the wave of change and ensure we make the most out of it. With times even our work culture is changing and according to many, entrepreneurship is the future. Hence exposing as many students as possible to the curse will help young minds ride the wave and also might give them a chance to be part of the future or for that matter even good.

==Strategy 1: Reaching out to the students to understand their thoughts and opinions in an approachable and amicable manner==

It is said that we might be the masters of our minds, yet we are slaves to our emotions. Understanding and monitoring of emotions are essentials to any student preparing to take on the world. A great king must never seek out war, but must always be prepared for one, hence if one intends to conquer the world then understanding emotions and channeling them correctly is key. But no one is just ready to open up and share, hence approaching students correctly and comforting them can help them open up a bit more and can also help us understand how to help them better manage their best assets.

==Strategy 2: Conducting awareness drives for all the students and helping them understand the essence of emotional stability==

Awareness on topics like mental health and emotional stability is a forever ongoing operation. No matter how well we think we may know things, we are always going to need help. Spreading awareness and helping people understand the importance of help may just make them realize how important a concept mental health can be. It can also help them better understand what they are going through in many situations.

==Strategy 3: Creating an interactive and engaging ecosystem on campus with skilled staff working on this agenda==

On concepts relating towards emotions, feelings and mental health knowing how to help is different from helping. We need people who understand this difference and can bridge the gap here. Hence having skilled professional staff can be a huge advantage in these situations.

Having a space themed or designed with a specific purpose generally allows someone freedom to explore the theme and play around it to test what they can build. Most inventions made today were either mistakes or built in a specific themed place, we intend to offer both. This space can be a starter for dreams or a foundation for mistakes that may one day change the world.

==Strategy 2: Conducting preliminary events to engage students beforehand==

Creating awareness on this makerspace and its capabilities can help boost young minds to come and explore the space. Conducting events here will attract both students and experts to a single platform, thereby allowing interaction between achiever's and aspiring achiever's.

Role modelling has proven to be an incredible way to motivate people to achieve. Hence connecting students with their role models or people who have achieved success in their fields will make students either want to replicate them or beat them. This is will ensure growth of both the space and the students and might also allow students to be mentored by those who know and understand the industry.

Allowing students to participate in such activities might inspire them to get into I&E and might push them to become entrepreneurs, which is the main goal of the program.

A mentor empowers a person to see a possible future and believe it can be obtained, thereby having mentors stay with us throughout the program will be a key function in this idea, hence offering of small incentives might help them stay and help us grow as a program. Moreover offering mentors an incentive might even attract more mentors to join the program and help young minds out.

==Strategy 2: Creating an effective ecosystem between mentors and mentees that promotes growth and knowledge enhancement==

Ensuring both a mentor and a mentee see eye to eye and understand each other is crucial to the growth of an idea. This idea also focuses on creating an ecosystem or platform wherein both can come together not only to discuss an idea but also to understand each other and learn ethics of the business. Essentially the student has the opportunity to intern with their mentor and understand a plethora of things.

Students can utilise these mobile spaces to prototype, build, innovate and implement any idea that they want to work on. ==Strategy 3: Renovate the existing space to prototyping labs.==
<div>Mobile makerspace is a brilliant idea to implement in short time. But, to create a space that can fit more than 200 students, it takes a lot of time. Protyping labs can help improve and add additional features to what mobile makerspace provides. Even if students want to create props for an event, they can log into prototyping labs and work on it. In this tactic, we plan to integrate already existing spaces such as laboratories with prototyping environment to make it a better place for innovation. This reduces their time from travelling to shops and stores to buy the items and accessories to make a prop or a prototype.</div>

Academic topics from different fields and branches are given to the students, where each student picks up a random topic and starts learning for the same. Given a week’s time, they come and give daily updates about their learning. After a week, the students realise whether they want to continue the same topic or choose another topic. They also share it with the other students and spread their ideologies about the topic they have prepared for. Topics are chosen such that they are beneficial to them, irrespective of their major.

==Strategy 2: Initiate the notion of Learn and Build==

A unique concept which focuses mainly on experimental learning through scalable hands-on models. Students are taught basic concepts which proves to be a necessity learning in their everyday life. These are concepts that are being learnt in the academics and made into models. This allows learning of core concepts along with it’s implementations, thereby ensuring a good foundation for them.

=Project 2: Motivating the students to take up challenges and create a network.=

Due to busy schedule, students often miss out on the important news, current affairs, upcoming and trending technologies, general knowledge which is a must for them. We can try to make sure that those students share their knowledge and information to their peers and ensure an environment where gaining on knowledge is at its peak.Videos relating to the above-mentioned topics will be shown to them. This will in turn enhance the learning outcomes.

Barcamp is a user generated conference, participatory where the content is provided by the participants. We have inter-disciplinary topics, where students can share plethora of ideas and views, making them more prone to the world of technology. We also conduct debates and/or after each session, which enhances student interest and keen participation. Hand-outs of the key points will be given at the end of the session for them to look up to. The above two strategies ensures that students mingle with students of other branches as it involves them to interact with other individuals and know about their ideologies as well.

We teach the concepts applicable to students through models & simulations to make them understand it’s working. The models are hand-made, and the simulations are tested for compatibility on all basis i.e., it can be understood by a beginner as well as novice/professionals. We give a chance to everyone to share their knowledge of a subject/concept/topic to the audience. This is made so that everyone is allowed an opportunity to show-case their knowledge as well as an opportunity to teach. Individuals/Students often understand when they are taught by their friends or peers. Taking this idea into consideration, we have introduced a new way of helping students learn the concepts better.

This is implemented through informative sessions, video tutorials & a few hands-on sessions.

We know that students these days are unaware of current affairs lack general knowledge & the new ways of learning such as cyber hunt etc. So we came up with the improvisation of dumb-charades called the knowledge charades in which the students will be enacting anything related to a famous personality or a new trend/topic that is worth sharing. After the students guess the right answer, unknown facts and mind striking information about the topic/personality will be shared, thereby making way for fun-learning.

==Strategy 2: Encouraging students to dream big and to have a vision through their ideas and discover their crafty skills.==

Here students can come up with their crazy ideas to change something in this society irrespective of whether it can be implemented or even given a thought about it, and share or present it to others and get their insight about it. They can get crafty and explain their ideas through their work. This helps students in developing their imaginary and creative skills.

Students can also express themselves through their poems, articles and short stories make use of this opportunity to share it with others. We give them inspirational books to read and this in turn inculcates values in them. After reading a story they share it with those who would rather prefer listening than reading. Hello, my name is Olamide (O-la-mih-day), but feel free call me Ola. I'm an undergraduate student and freelance radio host at University of Galway. Like many of us, life for me has been full of ups and downs, trials and tribulations and everything in between. Growing up, I struggled with my mental health and overall sense of direction in life. Don't worry, this isn't a long winded sob story, I'm just providing you, dear reader, with the context from which you're meeting the Ola you see today. The COVID-19 pandemic was a challenging time for us all. However, it was during that period of global stand-still and mandated isolation that I decided that I would use all my pain to fuel a passion to help people who have struggled, people like you and me. But first, I had to help myself.

Helping myself started with further exploring my relationship with God, receiving counselling, going back to college and developing meaningful relationships. All of which were incredibly difficult at first, I must admit. After a few years of wrestling with who I used to be, I won a few rounds and my confidence started to grow. I rediscovered my appetite for growth and worked on maximising my life satisfaction by opening myself up to as many value-adding experiences as possible. These experiences helped me better understand myself, what I want and how I can contribute to society. I started going to church, applying myself at university and volunteering with charities. At university, I connected with the chaplaincy and completed the Seas Suas training to support student wellbeing, I discovered the IdeasLab and completed entrepreneurial development programmes like CreateHER, and I even started a radio-show podcast, LOMAH, which amplified creatives in my community and engaged with difficult topics on the human condition. I started to feel alive again, and believed I was ready to expand and offer support beyond myself. I volunteered with Jigsaw, a mental health charity and became an advocate for youth mental health. I facilitated philosophical inquiry for first year students via a peer-assisted learning programme and I held LIFT roundtable discussions on positive leadership with other students at university. Hey, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, I also experienced some hard times and failures but I had learned to no longer let those define me and accepted them as part of the vicissitudes of life. So, where I am at now?

Over the years, I've come to learn that fulfillment is derived from pursuing a life marked by purpose and harmony. So fueled by a desire to help others , I aim to create a career that integrates the different dimensions of the human experience and thereby foster cohesion. I am particularly interested in the intersection between Faith or philosophy, psychology, creativity and innovation. My experience facilitating communities of philosophical inquiry helped me to realise the importance of supporting people to 'become' rather than just 'do'. I believe that what we do should stem from who we are and as we work on becoming, whatever that may look like for each individual, what we do will naturally follow and vice versa. I see the UIF as another step on the journey of the becoming-doing paradigm. I would like to help students to discover their potential and become the best version of themselves. I believe this can be achieved by cultivating a community of curiosity and creativity, where students can work together, learn from each other, solve problems and be equipped with the skills required to excel within themselves, at university, in the market place and beyond.

The University of North Florida (UNF) is a nationally ranked university located in the scenic Northeastern Florida city of Jacksonville. Composed of six colleges of distinction, the University currently has an enrollment of nearly 17,000 students and employs more than 500 full-time faculty as well as over 1,000 staff members.

==Promoting Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship==
UNF is an emerging center for entrepreneurship in Jacksonville, and in Northeast Florida. UNF’s Coggin College of Business is primarily responsible for the increased emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation. Most recently, after a $1 million dollar donation, UNF created the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

The CEI is a space available to any students in business, engineering, health, education, and arts and sciences, providing access to necessary services and living-learning lab space to help foster start-up growth. Some of the provided resources include developing business plans, finding student interns for support, professional advising, and networking. Involved entrepreneurs are also able to propose their ideas to a local panel of experts who have applied to support UNF's CEI. In 2022, the CEI sponsored events such as the Innovation Challenge Week sponsored by [https://www.unf.edu/coggin/CEI/Crowley_Innovation_Challenge.aspx#contact Crowley] and [https://www.unf.edu/coggin/CEI/Community_First_Challenge.aspx Community First] and the [https://www.unf.edu/coggin/CEI/Cohort_Information.aspx Swisher Growth Pitch Competition] which specifically helps minority entrepreneurs.

The Coggin College of Business also offers a minor in entrepreneurship that all students have the opportunity to partake in. The minor itself is predominantly business-oriented but does offer courses that teach creativity and design thinking. This minor coincides with the 200 registered student organizations on campus, one of which is the Entrepreneurs, Creators, and Innovators club. In addition, UNF offers courses such as GEB4942: Entrepreneurial Internship, which stimulates innovation and allows students to gain real-world experiences in entrepreneurial business. Other courses such as MAN4294: Creativity and Innovation in the Workplace, teach students how to have a creative mindset when exploring different possibilities in complex and uncertain environments. There may be an opportunity to expand the number of clubs or students involved with social innovation because the UNF Student Government, which has an annual budget of roughly $4.5 million dollars, just announced the creation of a new Student Involvement Center.

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs is one of the ways UNF encourages student innovation and entrepreneurship through funding a variety of different research-based projects. The final way that UNF encourages student innovation and entrepreneurship are through Transformational learning opportunities (TLOs). TLOs may take a myriad of forms that include study abroad experiences, service-learning experiences, research/directed independent study experiences with a faculty member, and leadership experiences.

==Encouraging Faculty Innovation and Entrepreneurship: ==

The institute focuses on redesigning an existing course of developing a new course while involving innovative instructional strategies. The interdisciplinary focus of the institute allows for all faculty and department teams to participate, underlining the opportunity for innovation and entrepreneurship to become a university-wide point of focus. 

UNF also has an [https://www.unf.edu/research/Research_Development.aspx Office for Research & Sponsored Programs] (ORSP) which assists faculty in complying with university, federal, state, and funding agency guidelines, rules, and regulations during budget preparation when determining costs applicable to grants, contracts, and other agreements. If a faculty member would like to involve a student, or students, with their research, students are eligible to apply for an undergraduate research grant through the [https://www.unf.edu/our/ Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR)]. Students can receive up to $3,500 in funding towards research-related expenses. 

UNF also offers a [https://www.unf.edu/asa/funding-opportunities.html Faculty Scholarship Development Grant] sponsored by Academic Affairs to help support research, scholarship, and creative activities generated by faculty. The grant are seen as seed funding for developing, publishing and writing new research, and experimenting with new forms of creative expression. Academic Affairs offers $7500 per funded individual, or $10,000 each for up to three faculty members working together on selected multidisciplinary projects. This money goes towards travel, materials, student assistance, or other expenses related to project activities.

UNF's Intellectual property is normally transferred to the private sector, after the right procedures are taken into place that will allow corporations to develop new or updated services with the common goal of enhancing the community and it's quality of life. Through marketing and licensing activities, ORSP brings technology forward to public use and for the benefit of the inventor, the University, and the community. Income is generated for both the inventor and the University through licensing agreements, and ORSP encourages agreements with local and regional companies. ORSP and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation have been working in conjunction with to advance idea development and technology transfers. A successful transfer from a university almost always requires a partnership with a private sector, which makes this a very exciting partnership for all parties.

This relationship between university and private sectors can also go the other way where a company takes advantage of the [https://www.unf.edu/research/Innovation/Partner_with_industry.aspx research and development (R&D) Collaboration] that UNF has to offer. R&D collaboration allows for a partnership that comes full circle by gaining the ability to use the universities research and capabilities to add to a product or service that could go out to help the community in a multitude of ways. All research and partnerships are conducted under appropriate and approved on agreements to protect the rights of all parties involved.

In recent years, UNF has continued to expand and further develop relationships with external organizations and corporations. In addition, four of the 15 ideas selected by the incubator this year relate to the healthcare and technology industries. This is incredibly important because Baptist Health, Florida Blue, and the Mayo Clinic are three of the largest employers in Jacksonville.

Despite this general impact, the university is committed to contributing to the growth of the regional economy through specialized initiatives, institutes/centers, and programs. With funding from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the University of North Florida, the City of Jacksonville, the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, Marion County, Nassau County, St. Johns County, Putnam County, Suwannee County and other public and private sector sources, the Florida SBDC at UNF is able to provide its management assistance services at little or no charge to the client. SBDC programs deliver up-to-date management advice, training and information to help business owners make sound decisions and to assist potential owners in getting started on the right foot. For every federal dollar invested in the SBDC program, nearly $10 is returned in the form of tax revenue.

UNF has now created an entire cycle of support for aspiring innovators by offering courses on entrepreneurship, to the new Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation for start-ups, to the SBDC for growing small businesses. Together, these resources will allow the university and local community to continue to grow. With a sponsorship from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the university has constructed the [https://www.unf.edu/coggin/Career_Management_Center/students/ExecutiveMentors.aspx Coggin Executive Mentor Program]. This program is designed to enhance the classroom experience by linking students with leading executives for one-on-one mentoring. Mentors share career advice and valuable insight into the transition from college to work. Students build career networks and develop skills to become better professionals and leaders.

A similar but different program, [https://www.unf.edu/cass/ Community Alliance for Student Success (CASS)], is a program and community that was created to serve traditionally underrepresented students. Students are paired with experienced minority members, including industry leaders and local business owners to learn about job opportunities and network in Jacksonville.

UNF MedNexus has a medical technology innovation lab that promotes students to work side by side with researchers and MedNexus partners. Students will be working with the MedNexus healthcare workers to detect cancer proteins in tissues before tumor formation and to detect other serious diseases early.
