Now-a-days people are good at using apps rather than reading books. Our college doesn't have an app although people are more interested in using that. So, in order to pass the necessary information we hereby come up with an idea of developing a college app.

*Including faculty
*Letting students connected with the faculty for guidance
*Giving information regarding the assignments Information regarding Events conducted by various departmental organisations

There is no information about the games conducted in and outside of the colloge.P.E.T(Physical Education Teacher) shows interest for only specific games and neglects the other games.  

So, there is an idea  to start a sports club. Which brings students talent out (who are interested). It's main motto is to encourage the hidden talents of the students which in turn helps in employability. This club contains a group of students (students from every game) for driving this .So, every activities will be conducted by these students.

In our college there are 6 departments Each department contains students of 4 years . Each academic year has 4 sections .As soon as the club starts functioning they conduct a introductory event of one and half month. Event in the sense a competition that brings seriousness among the interested candidates in each section of the department.

This one and half month introductory event is divided into 6 weeks . each for each department, for  example first goes ECE .The week allotted for ece is again divided into 5 days. 1st day for all sections of  1st year. Each Section Should bring there teams for the respective games like volleyball, cricket ,tennis….etc. Among these teams the club members select the students and form a team of 1st year. The same thing happens with the Second years, third years and fourth years of  ece.

Now the fifth day  the competition will be among the selected candidates of 1st ,2nd ,3rd and 4th of ece and a  finial team from Ece will be picked out irrespective of the academic years only based on the talent and skill.

In coming weeks same thing will happen with the other branches too. That means at the end of the one and month event we have 6 department teams for each game .

Perhaps the biggest strenght of the college is the support and Encouragement of management for upcoming entreprenuers. SRKREC encourages and promotes the students to think innovatively and develop their entrepreneurship skills in different ways. The management regularly inspires its students by conducting summits on career-guidance,innovation,entreprenuership,etc., It also have departmental organisations like IETE,ACE,AME,IE,CSI,AEE which emphasizes on improving the technical skills of its students which inturn evokes the entreprenurial insights of the students.These organisations helps the students to prototype their ideas which will be later sent to the Technology and Innovation centre of the college. The Tech centre is the base for all the entreprenurial and innovation activities of the college. Students who have ideas or prototypes will be using the tech centre to  develop their product and pitch it to Investors for Funding. In the recent years , SRKREC have produced some top class scientists and entreprenuers with their support and encouragement. Many students have got patents for their prototypes and went on to become succesful entreprenuers.

The college faculty is highly involved in entreprenurial and innovation activities.As much as 14 people have patents on their works which explains the faculty's involvement in research and entreprenuership. SRKREC's faculty have been partners in many software and hardware companies. This helped the college to achieve more job oppurtunities to students seeking jobs and stood as one of the very few colleges which achieved 100% campus placement. Some persons from the faculty like Dr.Padma raju have been the founder of NetEnrich Technologies which is one of the  leading software companies in India. Students are getting benifited by the faculty as their contacts are helping the students to build-up carrers of their stuents.The college had a faculty-student ratio of 1:15  which brought extensive care between students and faculty.38%of the faculty holds doctorates from different fields which shows the intrest of faculty in research and entreprenuership. There are a lot of misconceptions in students regarding the college. Although, the college is very intrested in providing a platform for its students they feel that the college isn't providing resources for their projects. At the same time we also have to act as a mediator between the students and the college management which helps them in building mutual relations with each other.
One of the main mottos of Team I-Hub is to become a platform b/w students and management  which solves this problem. Every Doubts,Questions,Problems of the students can be brought to team I-Hub which are then cleared by Team I-Hub who will escalate the problem to the management.'''#Motivating Students''''''A'''nother problem which we observed from  our students is that they lack Motivation. As we know '''Motivation keeps us Moving''' forward in any aspect we do. So,We had a strategy to motivate students where people from different fields will address the students once in every 10 days. These guests may be a senior professor,entreprenuer,etc., The main motto of this program being conducted once in every 10 days is to motivate students in a wa that they will get the confidence to achieve what they want.
*Influential alumni speak on entrepreneur, management and communication skills.
*Creating awareness on entrepreneurship.

*Assigning a mentor to a group of students. May be faculty or senior students.
*Orientations on Better ways to organize work and time management.
*Career Guidance through orientations and live videos by Principal, Hod, and other faculty members.

Now-a-days people are good at using apps rather than reading books. Our college doesn't have an app although people are more interested in using that. So, in order to pass the necessary information we hereby come up with an idea of developing a college app.

This app works under the following guidelines :

*Giving a unique ID to all it's users
*Providing details of  all it's departments
*Including faculty
*Letting students connected with the faculty for guidance
*Giving information regarding the assignments Information regarding Events conducted by various departmental organisations
*Ratings of the events conducted by clubs
*Feedbacks concerned with the respective faculty
*Newsfeed regarding whats going on! in the college
*Information regarding the percentage of attendance the student secured
*Schedules of all the lectures

In this way people get more connected with the faculty and with the information about various programs.

There is no information about the games conducted in and outside of the colloge.P.E.T(Physical Education Teacher) shows interest for only specific games and neglects the other games.  

So, there is an idea  to start a sports club. Which brings students talent out (who are interested). It's main motto is to encourage the hidden talents of the students which in turn helps in employability. This club contains a group of students (students from every game) for driving this .So, every activities will be conducted by these students.

These club members are the captains of each game (Cricket, football, Volley ball, Basket ball…..etc).

They directly deals with the Principal and P.E.T regarding any sports event that should be conducted or running events outside the college. They need to select the students for college team of each game for the next  academic year.

In our college there are 6 departments Each department contains students of 4 years . Each academic year has 4 sections .As soon as the club starts functioning they conduct a introductory event of one and half month. Event in the sense a competition that brings seriousness among the interested candidates in each section of the department.

This one and half month introductory event is divided into 6 weeks . each for each department, for  example first goes ECE .The week allotted for ece is again divided into 5 days. 1st day for all sections of  1st year. Each Section Should bring there teams for the respective games like volleyball, cricket ,tennis….etc. Among these teams the club members select the students and form a team of 1st year. The same thing happens with the Second years, third years and fourth years of  ece.

Now the fifth day  the competition will be among the selected candidates of 1st ,2nd ,3rd and 4th of ece and a  finial team from Ece will be picked out irrespective of the academic years only based on the talent and skill.

In coming weeks same thing will happen with the other branches too. That means at the end of the one and month event we have 6 department teams for each game .

After a month gap .There will be 6 teams for each game from all branches .we schedule the second event with the 6 branch teams for each games . From this 6 teams they scrutinize their skill and pick a single team for each game. That is “COLLEGE TEAM”

These guests may be a senior professor,entreprenuer,etc., The main motto of this program being conducted once in every 10 days is to motivate students in a wa that they will get the confidence to achieve what they want.
1.    Influential alumni speak on entrepreneur, management and communication skills.

2.    Creating awareness on entrepreneurship.

3.    Noticing them about various events and motivating them to participate in it.

4.    Assigning a mentor to a group of students. May be faculty or senior students.

                5.  Orientations on Better ways to organize work and time management.

6.    Career Guidance through orientations and live videos by Principal, Hod, and other faculty members.

7.    Awarding freshmen students, who comes up with the best innovative idea.

Now-a-days people are good at using apps rather than reading books. Our college doesn't have an app although people are more interested in using that. So, in order to pass the necessary information we hereby come up with an idea of developing a college app.

This app works under the following guidelines :

*Giving a unique ID to all it's users
*Providing details of  all it's departments
*Including faculty
*Letting students connected with the faculty for guidance
*Giving information regarding the assignments Information regarding Events conducted by various departmental organisations
*Ratings of the events conducted by clubs
*Feedbacks concerned with the respective faculty
*Newsfeed regarding whats going on! in the college
*Information regarding the percentage of attendance the student secured
*Schedules of all the lectures

In this way people get more connected with the faculty and with the information about various programs.

There is no information about the games conducted in and outside of the colloge.P.E.T(Physical Education Teacher) shows interest for only specific games and neglects the other games.  

So, there is an idea  to start a sports club. Which brings students talent out (who are interested). It's main motto is to encourage the hidden talents of the students which in turn helps in employability. This club contains a group of students (students from every game) for driving this .So, every activities will be conducted by these students.

These club members are the captains of each game (Cricket, football, Volley ball, Basket ball…..etc).

This one and half month introductory event is divided into 6 weeks . each for each department, for  example first goes ECE .The week allotted for ece is again divided into 5 days. 1st day for all sections of  1st year. Each Section Should bring there teams for the respective games like volleyball, cricket ,tennis….etc. Among these teams the club members select the students and form a team of 1st year. The same thing happens with the Second years, third years and fourth years of  ece.

Now the fifth day  the competition will be among the selected candidates of 1st ,2nd ,3rd and 4th of ece and a  finial team from Ece will be picked out irrespective of the academic years only based on the talent and skill.

In coming weeks same thing will happen with the other branches too. That means at the end of the one and month event we have 6 department teams for each game .

== Student Entrepreneurship ==

Perhaps the biggest strenght of the college is the support and Encouragement of management for upcoming entreprenuers. SRKREC encourages and promotes the students to think innovatively and develop their entrepreneurship skills in different ways. The management regularly inspires its students by conducting summits on career-guidance,innovation,entreprenuership,etc., It also have departmental organisations like IETE,ACE,AME,IE,CSI,AEE which emphasizes on improving the technical skills of its students which inturn evokes the entreprenurial insights of the students.These organisations helps the students to prototype their ideas which will be later sent to the Technology and Innovation centre of the college. The Tech centre is the base for all the entreprenurial and innovation activities of the college. Students who have ideas or prototypes will be using the tech centre to  develop their product and pitch it to Investors for Funding. In the recent years , SRKREC have produced some top class scientists and entreprenuers with their support and encouragement. Many students have got patents for their prototypes and went on to become succesful entreprenuers. 

== Faculty Innovation and Entrepreneurship ==

The college faculty is highly involved in entreprenurial and innovation activities.As much as 14 people have patents on their works which explains the faculty's involvement in research and entreprenuership. SRKREC's faculty have been partners in many software and hardware companies. This helped the college to achieve more job oppurtunities to students seeking jobs and stood as one of the very few colleges which achieved 100% campus placement. Some persons from the faculty like Dr.Padma raju have been the founder of NetEnrich Technologies which is one of the  leading software companies in India. Students are getting benifited by the faculty as their contacts are helping the students to build-up carrers of their stuents.The college had a faculty-student ratio of 1:15  which brought extensive care between students and faculty.38%of the faculty holds doctorates from different fields which shows the intrest of faculty in research and entreprenuership. This club contains a group of students (students from every game) for driving this .So, every activities will be conducted by these students.

Event in the sense a competition that brings seriousness among the interested candidates in each section of the department.

This one and half month introductory event is divided into 6 weeks . each for each department, for  example first goes ECE .The week allotted for ece is again divided into 5 days. 1st day for all sections of  1st year. Each Section Should bring there teams for the respective games like volleyball, cricket ,tennis….etc. Among these teams the club members select the students and form a team of 1st year. The same thing happens with the Second years, third years and fourth years of  ece.

Now the fifth day  the competition will be among the selected candidates of 1st ,2nd ,3rd and 4th of ece and a  finial team from Ece will be picked out irrespective of the academic years only based on the talent and skill.

In coming weeks same thing will happen with the other branches too. That means at the end of the one and month event we have 6 department teams for each game .

Although, the college is very intrested in providing a platform for its students they feel that the college isn't providing resources for their projects. At the same time we also have to act as a mediator between the students and the college management which helps them in building mutual relations with each other.
One of the main mottos of Team I-Hub is to become a platform b/w students and management  which solves this problem. Every Doubts,Questions,Problems of the students can be brought to team I-Hub which are then cleared by Team I-Hub who will escalate the problem to the management.'''Motivating Students''''''A'''nother problem which we observed from  our students is that they lack Motivation. *To create an app, that used to pass information on various events , academic details like holidays, attedence, marks, etc..

There is no information about the games conducted in and outside of the colloge.P.E.T(Physical Education Teacher) shows interest for only specific games and neglects the other games.  

So, there is an idea  to start a sports club. Which brings students talent out (who are interested). It's main motto is to encourage the hidden talents of the students which in turn helps in employability. This club contains a group of students (students from every game) for driving this .So, every activities will be conducted by these students.

These club members are the captains of each game (Cricket, football, Volley ball, Basket ball…..etc).

In our college there are 6 departments Each department contains students of 4 years . Each academic year has 4 sections .As soon as the club starts functioning they conduct a introductory event of one and half month. Event in the sense a competition that brings seriousness among the interested candidates in each section of the department.

This one and half month introductory event is divided into 6 weeks . each for each department, for  example first goes ECE .The week allotted for ece is again divided into 5 days. 1st day for all sections of  1st year. Each Section Should bring there teams for the respective games like volleyball, cricket ,tennis….etc. Among these teams the club members select the students and form a team of 1st year. The same thing happens with the Second years, third years and fourth years of  ece.

Now the fifth day  the competition will be among the selected candidates of 1st ,2nd ,3rd and 4th of ece and a  finial team from Ece will be picked out irrespective of the academic years only based on the talent and skill.

In coming weeks same thing will happen with the other branches too. That means at the end of the one and month event we have 6 department teams for each game .

After a month gap .There will be 6 teams for each game from all branches .we schedule the second event with the 6 branch teams for each games . From this 6 teams they scrutinize their skill and pick a single team for each game. That is “COLLEGE TEAM”

In Andhra Pradesh college fests will be conducted in the second half of the academic year generally they include sports .So this college teams practice for those fests

Perhaps the biggest strenght of the college is the support and Encouragement of management for upcoming entreprenuers. SRKREC encourages and promotes the students to think innovatively and develop their entrepreneurship skills in different ways. The management regularly inspires its students by conducting summits on career-guidance,innovation,entreprenuership,etc., It also have departmental organisations like IETE,ACE,AME,IE,CSI,AEE which emphasizes on improving the technical skills of its students which inturn evokes the entreprenurial insights of the students.These organisations helps the students to prototype their ideas which will be later sent to the Technology and Innovation centre of the college. The Tech centre is the base for all the entreprenurial and innovation activities of the college. Students who have ideas or prototypes will be using the tech centre to  develop their product and pitch it to Investors for Funding. In the recent years , SRKREC have produced some top class scientists and entreprenuers with their support and encouragement. Many students have got patents for their prototypes and went on to become succesful entreprenuers.

The college faculty is highly involved in entreprenurial and innovation activities.As much as 14 people have patents on their works which explains the faculty's involvement in research and entreprenuership. SRKREC's faculty have been partners in many software and hardware companies. This helped the college to achieve more job oppurtunities to students seeking jobs and stood as one of the very few colleges which achieved 100% campus placement. Some persons from the faculty like Dr.Padma raju have been the founder of NetEnrich Technologies which is one of the  leading software companies in India. Students are getting benifited by the faculty as their contacts are helping the students to build-up carrers of their stuents.The college had a faculty-student ratio of 1:15  which brought extensive care between students and faculty.38%of the faculty holds doctorates from different fields which shows the intrest of faculty in research and entreprenuership. The faculty follows the ploicy of "Aspire to Inspire"

SRKREC encourages and promotes the students to think innovatively and develop their entrepreneurship skills in different ways. The management regularly inspires its students by conducting summits on career-guidance,innovation,entreprenuership,etc., It also have departmental organisations like IETE,ACE,AME,IE,CSI,AEE which emphasizes on improving the technical skills of its students which inturn evokes the entreprenurial insights of the students.These organisations helps the students to prototype their ideas which will be later sent to the Technology and Innovation centre of the college. The Tech centre is the base for all the entreprenurial and innovation activities of the college. == BACKGROUND ==

Macy Tush is a student at William Jewell College in Kansas City. University Innovation Fellows have been working to improve her campus for four years, and Macy has been a part of the program for two years. She and the other fellows on campus worked individually and together to encourage entrepreuneurship and innovation. One fellow, Alex, wanted to focus on determining a system to quantify happiness on campus, and then finding ways to improve it. Alex and a few other fellows were close to graduating, so they decided to work as a team to create a lasting impact before they left.

Alex created a survey that asked users to rank factors that affect one's happiness, such as freedom and autonomy, and used these results to quantify an individual's happiness. While no legitamite conclusions could be drawn from just this survey, the fellows saw a pattern. Happiness increased in individuals who felt safer, felt they had more control over their decisions and who had the opportunity to meet new people. Macy also felt there was significant disunity on campus, specifically between faculty and students, and realized that this is also a cause for dissatisfaction on campus. So the fellows got to work.

== HOW ==

Macy and her cohort had settled on a simple realization that a happier campus would lead to more creativity and better innovation. To this end, Macy decided to host events intended to increase the morale on campus, more specifically pop-up classes, makeathons, and town halls/open forums.[[File:HOW.jpg|thumb]]

Initially, marketing for these events was executed in a traditional manor. Macy created events on facebook, printed off flyers, and added onto the events calendars through the school. Unfortunately, despite the great intentions and admirable effort, turnout was minimal. What the UIF cohort would come to realize is that events become tremendously more attractive to participants if they are marketed as mysterious and exclusive, making them stand out amongst an already crowded campus listing.

Macy and her team dug deep and decided to promote their next event through business cards. They ordered simple cards with an “X” on one side and the time and location on the other professionally printed. Nothing else. No group name. No additional information. Members of the UIF team would personally hand these out to classmates while simply adding “Don’t tell anyone”.

So now, what once was an open forum event at a local bar is now a mysterious meet-up that requires a card to get into and is supposed to be kept secret. Turnout was almost 100% and the event lasted 2 additional hours because the dialogue was so vibrant. Macy’s plan was a resounding success.

== WHY IT WORKED ==

From Macy’s experience, having a campus filled with happy students cultivates creativity because more students will be willing to take advantage of on-campus resources. When students utilize those resources, they are giving themselves the opportunity to be creative and innovative with their ideas. Consider these 3 points when initiating happiness on your campus:

However, the hardest part with these meetings is getting a variety of people to show up. Try creating a special invitation or personally reaching out to invite a student. The more voices in attendance means more perspectives that can address the pessimism on your campus.

Second, don’t just talk about the problem, generate a solution. For example, by the end of the meeting, make a goal of having three solutions for three problems. If not, you are just going to create a space for complaints and additional negativity. Thinking of solutions on spot will also further students’ ability to be creative and innovative in solving problems they thought would never be solved.

Finally, do not be afraid to do small, silly things to grab students’ attention. Not only will you be making a lasting impression, but you’ll also create a great conversation starter that could catch on across campus!

== BACKLASH ==

Every work we do we find  some  flaws  and  a few counterblasts. While  promoting for the events Macy and her cohort faced some challenges and counterblasts. Some of them were inviting people for the event when they are conducting it for the first time was the most typical task they ever faced. Inviting in the sense meeting them personally and distributing cards to them to get involved in the meeting.

The  next  one  was during the distribution of T-shirts they printed for promoting the event. The funniest thing is that some people thought that the T-Shirts  are some sort of  drug reference. Especially, when she entered the male rooms.

Macy and her  cohort also conducted  makeathon  and they hardly got thirty students .From these experiences they  learned and realised  that how hard is that  to get people connected to makeathon like things and what steps they should take to make such events more effective. Which faculty is helpful, more interactive and who’s not. In  the end  they discovered  who’s  fake  , who’s true and who would risk it all for them.

== TAKEAWAYS ON PESSIMISM AND CREATIVITY ==

Creating an environment that is focused on safety, freedom, autonomy, and interconnectedness fuels happiness within [[File:TAKEAWAY.jpg|thumb]]individuals. The feeling of being in control over your classes and course schedules, for example, are markers that can contribute to a healthier and happier environment for students.

According to Macy, the pessimism that had overcome her campus was primarily attributed to a lack of unity and organization on campus. The voices of many often times goes unheard because a platform to share thoughts and concerns does not exist for all students. Developing a form of communication that allows students from diverse backgrounds to be heard, however, can be an effective tool to further improve a campus’ well-being.

Happy students are the ones that will be creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial. These elements are incredibly fulfilling because it embraces originality and fosters a sense of uniqueness within individuals. Creating happier, and thus more creative students, therefore, provides a pathway to grow and can lead students towards achieving success both inside and outside the classroom.

The  next  one  was during the distribution of T-shirts they printed for promoting the event. The funniest thing is that some people thought that the T-Shirts  are some sort of  drug reference. Especially, when she entered the male rooms.

University Innovation Fellows have been working to improve her campus for four years, and Macy has been a part of the program for two years. Alex and a few other fellows were close to graduating, so they decided to work as a team to create a lasting impact before they left.

Alex created a survey that asked users to rank factors that affect one's happiness, such as freedom and autonomy, and used these results to quantify an individual's happiness. While no legitamite conclusions could be drawn from just this survey, the fellows saw a pattern. Happiness increased in individuals who felt safer, felt they had more control over their decisions and who had the opportunity to meet new people. Macy also felt there was significant disunity on campus, specifically between faculty and students, and realized that this is also a cause for dissatisfaction on campus. So the fellows got to work.

Initially, marketing for these events was executed in a traditional manor. Macy created events on facebook, printed off flyers, and added onto the events calendars through the school. Unfortunately, despite the great intentions and admirable effort, turnout was minimal. What the UIF cohort would come to realize is that events become tremendously more attractive to participants if they are marketed as mysterious and exclusive, making them stand out amongst an already crowded campus listing.

Macy and her team dug deep and decided to promote their next event through business cards. They ordered simple cards with an “X” on one side and the time and location on the other professionally printed. Nothing else. No group name. No additional information. Members of the UIF team would personally hand these out to classmates while simply adding “Don’t tell anyone”.

So now, what once was an open forum event at a local bar is now a mysterious meet-up that requires a card to get into and is supposed to be kept secret. Turnout was almost 100% and the event lasted 2 additional hours because the dialogue was so vibrant. Macy’s plan was a resounding success.
