==Bio==
My name is Britnee McCauley. I currently reside in Maryland, but was born in Plainfield, Illinois. While in Illinois, I earned my associate's degree in Business Administration at Joliet Junior College. In 2020, right before the pandemic struck, I moved to Maryland and started attending Bowie State University. In May 2022, I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management.Then in May 2024, I completed my Master’s degree in Business Administration, also at BSU. I developed a passion for business at an early age since I was surrounded by my family's owned alarm service company growing up. A goal of mine is to help make a difference in education by teaching business skills to the younger generations.

One of the things that I have realized is if I would have stayed in Illinois I would have been limited to the resources of my environment. I currently work in the federal government, which would have been an opportunity that I may not have received if I didn’t relocate. Also, by attending a HBCU I was able to dive deeper into my culture and had many doors that opened up.

Not to mention, I am so happy that by attending BSU I had the opportunity to join the University Innovation Fellows Program in 2021. I had the pleasure of returning as a FAB in 2022 & 2023, a UIguide in 2023 and now again in 2024.

As a fellow, my team and I worked on getting our campus to improve the way notifications for events were sent out on the school website and relaunch the BSU app. We also proposed 2 other projects, which was a student commuter lounge and a childcare center on campus. All 3 of our projects had made progress or were successful.

=Achievements=
University Innovation Fellows Program: UIguide for 2023 & 2024, FAB in 2022 & 2023, and became a fellow in 2021.

Recognized by and apart of the 2022 White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity through Historically Black Colleges and Universities

-An achievement was being one of ten recipients to receive the HBCU S.O.A.R scholarship presented by Coca Cola Consolidated. The company provided an all expenses paid trip for me to go to their headquarters for a week to work on a case study to figure out how they could increase e-commerce sales. I was able to share my ideas along with my team, in front a panel of executives. At the end of the presentation we received a program completion certificate.

Another achievement of mine is that I wrote a chapter in a Technical Communication and Report Writing course book. The book gives insight on black traditions and practices, as well as step-by-step written instructions and optional videos on how to do the discussed methods for various actions.

In April 2020, I was a finalist in the International Agility for Entrepreneurship. This was a case study competition to help a startup based in Germany called Migrapreneur come up with ideas on how to make an app they were developing successful. I received a certificate at the end of the weeklong program.

Completed a Pathways Internship at this Department of Homeland Security then worked full-time as a Human Resources Assistant (2020-2024).

In April 2024, I began a new job as a Human Resources Specialist at the Department of State.

Other Achievementsː

Served as Class Representative for Professional Development and Leadership

Served as Team CEO for a Global Business Course
==Bio==
My name is Britnee McCauley. Although I currently reside in Maryland, I was born in Plainfield, Illinois. While in Illinois, I earned my associate's degree in Business Administration at Joliet Junior College. Right before the pandemic struck, I moved to Maryland and started attending Bowie State University. In May 2022, I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. When Fall 2022 came around, I decided to continue my education by pursing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. The reason I chose a major in business is because I developed a passion for it at an early age, since I was surrounded by my family's owned alarm service company growing up. I also have a passion for education. I believe that the more knowledge we gain, the more we learn about the world and how to better ourselves. I know if I would have stayed in Illinois I would have been limited to the resources of my environment. I have since found a greater appreciation for travel as it has led me to a HBCU where I am able to dive deeper into my culture. A goal of mine is to help make a difference in education by teaching business skills to the younger generations, so that they learn valuable lessons that will help them when they become independent.

Not to mention, I am so happy that by attending BSU I had the opportunity to join the University Innovation Fellows Program in 2021. I had the pleasure of returning as a FAB in 2022 and am thrilled to be continuing as a UIguide for 2023. As a fellow, my team and I worked on getting our campus to improve the way notifications for events are sent out on the school website and to create or relaunch the BSU app. We also proposed 2 other projects, which was a student commuter lounge and a childcare center on campus. All 3 of our projects had made progress.

Currently, I am working with the Dean of BSU’s College of Business and the MBA coordinator to develop a 18-month MBA program.

Britneemccauley: /* Student engagement on a small campus */ new section

This article is very important to me as Iona is a small campus and there have been difficulties engaging with students on campus. This article gave me a lot of tips for going forward and I hope to be able to initiate these tactics onto our own campus so we can get more students involved in entrepreneurship and innovation at Iona. I would love to receive more tips about how to engage students who seem to just be disinterested with clubs/academic advancement as a whole which sometimes I feel on Iona's campus.

== Awareness Sessions ==

It is awareness session that creates a greater impact. It is the responsibility of all the stakeholders to groom the students and to foster the innovation culture. The world is dynamic and the changes that are happening around will influence new trends. The authorities will have to take up the major responsibility of engaging students in the innovation activities and to give an impetus to the entire ecosystem. Such kind of innovative and enthused campus transforms to be a pivotal center in the entire community and lead the changes. To bring the change impact, the students should get committed and they have to participate enthusiastically in all the learning activities. The involvement of the faculty, the curiosity of the students and the commitment for growth from that of the management shifts the paradigm. The campus beams with activities and students get inspired. It is the duty of all stakeholders to involve actively in the campus related activities and provide quality education to the global citizens.

== Small Campus Engagement ==

I found this article to be very useful. Loyola University is a relatively smaller school, so I could envision using these tips and tactics to help. I think our biggest issue is not that many students know about innovation and entrepreneurship and its importance, so these tips could be very useful for my school. I think a good think about smaller campuses that is noted in this piece is that face to face interactions are very feasible and useful. I believe that could be one of the most useful tips in order to spread awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship on this campus.

As a marketing major, this article was very useful for me. I go to Iona College, and our student population is fairly small. I like how the suggestions were focused on how to better the school's community and tackle some of the ongoing problems on campus. Every school has things that need to change, and the workshops make it easier to get to the bottom of those problems. Now that covid has settled a little bit, in person conversation is going to become one of the most important ways of engaging other students, and this article gave some tips on how to get the conversation going. -Leah

== Interdisciplinary ==

What stands out to me in this excerpt is the reiteration that I&E is not only for business students. This truly changes the way I think about engaging on a small campus now and being able to empathize with other disciplines to elevate I&E respectively.

== Student engagement on a small campus ==

Hello,
I found this source very informative because it gives simple actions that can be taken to increase student engagement. This will be useful for my team because we have not created a club on campus before, so I think the first point of getting people apart of the school onboard is crucial because not only does it give your plan support, but it gives you the confidence of knowing that people believe in you.

==Bio==
My name is Britnee McCauley. I am from Plainfield, Illinois where I grew up my entire life. I earned my associate's degree in Business Administration at Joliet Junior College. I moved to Maryland in 2020 where I started attending Bowie State University to pursue a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. I chose a major in business because I developed a passion for it at an early age, since I was surrounded by my family's owned alarm service company growing up. My goal is to help make a difference in secondary education by teaching business skills to the younger generations, so that they learn valuable lessons that will help them when they become independent.

==Achievements==
My most recent achievement was being one of ten recipients to receive the HBCU S.O.A.R scholarship presented by Coca Cola Consolidated. The company provided an all expenses paid trip for me to go to their headquarters for a week to work on a case study to figure out how they could increase e-commerce sales. I was able to share my ideas along with my team, in front a panel of executives. At the end of the presentation we received a program completion certificate.

Another achievement of mine is that I wrote a chapter in a Technical Communication and Report Writing course book that is anticipated to be released the third week of September 2021.

==Bio==
My name is Britnee McCauley. I am from Plainfield, Illinois where I grew up my entire life. I earned my associate's degree in Business Administration at Joliet Junior College. I moved to Maryland in 2020 where I started attending Bowie State University to work on my bachelor's degree. I chose a major in business because I developed a passion for it at an early age, since I was surrounded by my family's owned alarm service company growing up. My goal is to help make a difference in secondary education by teaching business skills to the younger generations, so that they learn valuable lessons that will help them when they become independent.

==Achievements==

I am also proud to be working for Department of Homeland Security as a Human Resources intern.

Other Recent Achievementsː

Served as Class Representative for Professional Development and Leadership

Served as Team CEO for a Global Business Course

Inducted into Delta Mu Delta- Business International Honors Society
==Bio==
My goal is to help make a difference in secondary education by teaching business skills to the younger generations, so that they learn valuable lessons that will help them when they become independent.

==Achievements==
