Lucy Kneissler is a University Innovation Fellow and undergraduate at Smith College studying Economics and Mathematics. Lucy is interested in Industrial Organization, International Trade issues, Financial Economics and Investments. Lucy is originally from the Greater Boston Area, but she hopes to move to Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX after graduation in May 2019. Lucy has been involved with Smith College's Investment Club, the Conway Center for Student Innovation, and the Design Thinking Initiative at Smith. These organizations have led her to becoming a University Innovation Fellow for the 2017-2018 school year.

Lucy has worked as an Innovate for Maine Fellow at Maine Technology Institute where she conducted research on Maine's "entrepreneurial ecosystem" and business environment. She has also participated in a Venture Capital Research Practicum at Springfield Venture Fund in Springfield, Massachusetts. In the future, Lucy hopes to gain additional expereience in seed funding and angel investing. Lucy is passionate about entrepreneurship and hopes to encourage her peers to find opportunities to get involved in the startup community at Smith.
